Happy Fourth of July!

This is how I want to think of you on this Fourth of July. Sitting with your best friends or families and laughing about everything!

My hope for all of you is to have a very safe 4th full of whatever you enjoy doing and that we all take the time to remember our troops fighting today and everyday for our freedom and the pursuit of happiness. With out them there would be no celebrations.

Can you imagine the courage it took to be one of the signers of The Declaration of Independence knowing that putting their signature on that document was treason and could cost them their lives?

I am just as in awe of our young women and men in the Arm Forces putting their lives in danger every day for us. What courage our brave country men have always shown from 1776 to the present 2010.

This will be a quiet day of celebration for me but that’s okay. Before my fall I was asked to ride in the local parade in Round Top in a 1959 Cadillac Convertible and throw candy to the kids but my back keeps me still at home resting. I would love to spend it with my children but their not coming down so if Tinkerbell will let me I will tie a flag to her tail and let her parade up and down the porch. Could you just imagine that happening. Chances of that are like me and this handsome fellow below taking off for a ride tomorrow!

Pray for Our Nation!

Maggie

PS  I never can think of a parade without thinking of the movie where Ferris Bueller is singing this song in a parade.

I am sure Tinkerbell will like that! NOT! I remember a plastic bag got caught on my cats tail once, it was so funny, he couldn't run fast enough.
Have a great 4th of July!

Hi Sweetness!
I can just imagine what you would have looked like in your caddy tossing candy to the kidlets! Perhaps Labor Day instead? Hope so, for sure!
Have a great day at home with Tink. I'll be hosting a mid-day cookout, and then all of us are piling into vehicles for a 1 hour ride to the venue where our musician husbands will be performing. Wish you were here to join us. You'd be the hit of the party!
I'll be thinking of you, my dear.
Love,
Donna

Oh Mags,
My patriotism has grown SO MUCH since son Andrew joined the Marines and served two tours in Iraq! I don't look at ANY of it the same!

I am SO thankful, so blessed to have him back home, safe and sound,,,attending College and our biggest worry as of late was the G-Darn starter on his ....okay MY Pathfinder!

I've certainly learned "Don't sweat the SMALL stuff, and it's ALL small stuff!" My son is safe and healthy!

And,,,I never look at a man or woman in uniform the same! They weren't drafted,,,,,,they SIGNED UP to protect our Country.....often leaving spouses and children back home.......I cannot even imagine! And I SO admire them for their service!!

Missy,,,take a minute when you have time to check out our "Paris Party" on my blog, for my coworker/bosses daughter Amy's 40th......She's had a tough year fighting Melanoma. It's been scarey! They keep finding more......

But our party for her was full of laughs and awesome food and desserts!,,,,I think my posts on Thursday/Friday would make you laugh too!!!

Love you to pieces,,,,,,but you KNOW that! Hurry up and get healthy already! I had a dream last night that I had a "MAN Friend." Can you imagine???? Ha! Woke up with the dogs!!

Happy 4th of July to you too sweet Maggie. No celebrating here, I will be resting and being thankful for all who have served to keep our country free and all of us safe.

You wouldn't catch me with that handsome guy on the motorcycle if I was at 100%. LOL I could sure find something else fun to do though.

You and Tinkerbell have a nice, peaceful day and you keep healing sweet friend. Hugs

Wow! I've had this little ESP thing going for the past couple of days. I think of someone... and then they appear in my life almost immediately. Does that every happen to you. Well... I was trying to get on your blog all morning, and my computer kept kicking me off. Gave up, went to breakfast, come home, and there you are with a lovely comment on mine. Isn't it cool the way things happen at times?! Yes, Kim is a one of my bloggy hooking buddies, and I will be happy to do a blogazine story on hooking for you. I'll work on it this week and send it off to you via email (is that how you get your stories?). I am still going over some of my pictures from the trip, so will try and include a couple the more interesting ones. Hope you're getting better everyday and will be back to your strong and healthy self soon. Have a great day, and thanks for checking in with me Maggie!

Hi Maggie, I keep praying for your progress and I love reading your blog post. I get a chuckle out of it. Happy 4th of July. I like the picture of you on the motorcyle. There is a time that I would love to meet some of you in person that I have come to know on blogland to see if the image of you that I have formed is what you are like in real life. Have a good day with tink. Your Missouri Friend.

Hope you and your little flag bearer had a great 4th. Usually we have a neighbor with deep pockets that puts on quite a show. Not this year. Times are hard I guess. At least no animals had to have therapy from all the noise.

Hey Sweetie! I hope you and Tinkerbell had a good 4th! I used to have a cat named Tinkerbell too! I'm the same a way with parades...Ferris is always lurking the back of my mind! Hope you're feeling better Maggie! xo Paulette
