Good morning or I guess now that I have finally got off the phone it is probably afternoon. I am guessing if you live on this universe you have experienced some what the same experience I just had with trying to contact a HUMAN's voice while calling Verizon and Lowe's this morning.
I had a question about my internet bill with Verizon and I kid you not I know it took me over thirty minutes to get to talk to a human. Not a computer with press one if you speak english or 2 if you need to be directed to Mars. Good Grief.....what the heck! I kept pressing those freaking numbers and pressing and then I never got what I wanted so then I started hitting the O for operator thinking someone would come to my rescue.
Finally I get the computer to understand that I have a question that by hitting a number will not give me the answer so then they tell me for quality assurance this call my be monitored. If they have the extra people to monitor these freaking calls then why don't they use them to answer the phone in the first place. Do they not know they took 30 or more minutes of my life this morning that I can not get back because I wasted it pushing 1 then 2 then 4 then 7....hahahaha
Plus not only did it waste my time but it shot my blood pressure up to where Ms. Pearl was starting to raise her naughty self and we all know she needs to keep quiet.
I finally got hold of Shantell and she helped me figure out my bill I still don't get some of it but she did manage to take off ten dollars that was not suppose to be on there. Then there was a charge for a text sent to me on my internet service. I told her I don't get text messages and for sure don't send them on here. I tried to explain to her that I can barely do what I am suppose to do on the internet. I would not even know where to go on here to send a text or recieve one. So she said she could block all incoming text from now on but could not give me credit for the ones I already received. Forgive me Shantell but where are the freaking text I recieved and who are they from and why would someone text me on the internet isn't that what emails are for. Anyway so I finally calm down pay the bill minus ten dollars and hang up.
Then I need to talk to Lowes to find out about get a water well reserve tank and if I need one as big as is out here now. Low and behold even Lowe's has press 1 and press 2. I pressed what I thought I needed and I get another computer voice. By then Ms Pearl grabbed the phone and threw it.
Would you believe now I have to call Sprint because I am sure my phone will not work after Ms Pearl got hold of it. Lord please help us all. Thank Goodness when I pray and talk to him he does not ask me to Press 1.
Sorry hope you are not having a bad day too. If so press 9.
Love to all
Maggie

The whole phone thing is VERY frustrating! And, like you, I am eternally gratefully that God does not ask us to press 1 (or any other number)!
;)
Oh Maggie!! Yes thank God we don't have to press a number to talk to God!!
God bless you my dear friend....this has to go in your book too you know!!!
What a life huh? I understand and outside of living in a cave we just have to try to put up with this crap the best way we can. Hope it all works out..I'll be praying for you!!! Starting now!!!!
Love You kiddo!! Miss You too!!
Susan
Poor Maggie!
At least you got English-speaking Americans.
I seem to end up at Bombay Central whenever I try to get help on an account!
I would not give up on that texting; I would write to Verizon and put in print how you got ripped off. It's the squeaky wheel that gets the oil!
Maggie, I'm sorry that you are having some problem with the communications between you and they.
I hate these automated communications too. I want a person at the other end of the line that I can understand.
This week is not going well for one of my follower this week either. She fell and almost broke her leg and has a huge bruise and this morning she found one of her beloved chicken dead. She's not having a good day...
This morning I open our cell phone bill and the bill said that we owe them $1,108.67. My blood pressure went up quite a bit too, I'm sure.
After my husband called and talked to someone, thankfully, the bill was corrected to $204.67 as we have 3 cell phones on it and the bulk of the cost is my son's usage on his Blackberry taking calls from his friends. Some are work related but still the bill is quite high.
I hope that the rest of the week will run smoother for you.
HUGS. JB
Maggie, thanks for leaving such a nice comment on my blog. I always feel so honored by receiving your comments.
I'm just learning to dye and I'm following April DeConlck's instructions. I'm still a babe in the wood as far as dyeing is concern, but I'm having fun. I don't always follow exactly the directions but I like what I get with colors. I mark all my receipes in a dye book and will be able to duplicate these colors when I need them. Neat, hey!
The baby is doing great. My daughter Jackie arrived there this morning and was holding James and he smiled at her. I want a picture as soon as possible so I can post it.
Wishing you much joy in your life and good karma. HUGS, Julia
Right now I'm working on a challenge rug and it will shown in April wether I'm finished or not. I can't show it now as others are also working on their own challenge rug. It's called Grandmother's Trunk.
I'll post it on my blog as soon as I am allowed to post it.
We have a cell phone. My hubs uses it for work. We have the cheapest plan available...$25/mo. That is still too much!!!
I'm sorry Miss Pearl got riled up. I hope she didn't break your phone, either!
I would love to have a chit chat with the person who came up with the idea of pushing numbers on the phone to supposedly get done what we need to. I am so sorry Ms. Pearl threw your phone and might have damaged it, but I can sure understand why she felt like throwing it and did. Hope the remainder of your day is much better sweet Maggie. Love and hugs!
Ha ha! Oh my, Maggie! But now look what you did ~ you can't even press 1 or 2 to get Sprint to repair the phone since you threw it. Wouldn't it be cool if it was like a Twilight Zone episode and when you threw it the phone will now only connect you to humans? Now that would be freaky ~ everybody knows humans don't answer phones anymore.
Isn't it frustrating to try and get answers to anything anymore? I so relate to Ms Pearl in times like this. I just love visiting your blog...Ms Pearl always gives me a chuckle.
"Press "11" if you want to blow-up our phone system". They should at least give us that option and give us the satisfaction of letting them know how we REALLY FEEL! Can you imagine what some of those poor customer service reps have to endure when the customer finally gets through. YIKES! They could not pay me enough money to do that job!
xoxo, Sue
That's the sort of thing that makes me want to sit on that someone and press real hard! Such foolishness we have to put up with anymore... I don't text or read texts either. Let them text away. I'm not entering into it.
Brenda
Don't you just hate those computerized companies and almost everything is nowadays. When I get one where you can "say" your choice, I always slur my words on purpose or speak gibberish and the computer finally gives up and connects me to a real person LOLOLOL
Hey Maggie,
OMGosh...don't even get me started on Verizon!!!! I canceled an internet service that they pitched to me over the phone...turns out they don't even offer that service where I live...they then tried to charge me $150.00 cancelation fee for canceling a service they don't have!!!
Unbelievable
hope you are well
Janet xox
PS...love the photo!
What I hate is when you wait and wait and wait and then just when you think you are going to get to talk to someone who may speak English, you get cut off...
arghh...
I'm sayin' sweet sister!!! The last time I called the phone company it took fifty~nine minutes off my life and when you do get a human, your dang lucky if they speak any English! 'Nuff said.........
You always spin a great tale that leaves me smilin'!
God bless ya and have a wonderful day sweetie! :o)
Believe me, I sympathize with you because I went through the same thing when trying to talk to a human about the mess my mom made by changing phone providers 3 times and ending up with a new phone number that she wasn't even told about!! I wish I had a Ms. Pearl in me that could have handled it for me cuz I sure was getting mighty frustrated!! Not only did I have to press 1, 2 and 9, I ended up having to talk to 3 humans as well and each one had a different answer. OY! xoxo
There are so many times when I need Ms. Pearl with me! I hate calling any company or corporation. I've begun to think that the purpose of those recordings is to discourage customers from calling. I've wasted soooo much time dealing with that. If I knew they were only going to give me a $10 credit, I would probably have paid it rather than deal with that! laurie
Oh, this can be so frustrating! Nobody answers phones anymore. I find myself saying thank you to the computer voices, LOL!
hugs
Sissie
Well, I must say, despite your troubles, I still had to laugh when you threw the phone...certainly not 'AT' you, but well, yeah, I guess it was. It sounds like something I'd do :) I don't have patience and tolerance for wasting my time...
I will definitely remember to press '9' if I need your help :)
Sounds like you are still not behaving yourself. Sorry, I haven't been by as much lately. Crazy here....well, you surely understand crazy...I would come hide on your farm, but then I would be trading my crazy for your crazy...maybe I should just stick with the crazy I know....not sure my blood pressure could take new crazy!
Hugs,
andrea
It's a test.
My nemesis is the cable company.
They make me insane!
Happy Wednesday,
Laura
Verizon also tucks in the Data charge on there ... it changed every month sometimes $9 sometimes $20 or more but it changed EVERY MONTH ... finally I made HAROLD call them because Miss Pearl's pseudo sister would have done what Miss Pearl did.
Call Verizon back, they HAVE to remove charges for texting not done ... we've had this happen also. You truly have to watch Verizon phone bills like a hawk.
Anymore I automatically hit 'O' right off the bat & if that doesn't work it reverts back to the original computer voice ... but it sure saves a lot of time & blood pressure when it does work.
At least with our Lowe's 'O' works right off the bat.
I'll write to you about Harold shortly ... I've so missed you, Maggie.
Have a beautiful eve ~
TTFN ~
Hugs & love sweet friend,
Marydon
CSN GIVEAWAY ENDS 3/17
I think laurie is right, they really think if they wear you down, you will just give up and pay the stupid bill.
A Radio Shack employee taught me to just yell repeatedly into the phone "I want to talk to a person" and you will get a human. I have tried it on several companies and it worked. Maybe not for all but for some it does.
All the press 1 press 2 **** is frustrating for sure!
I hate verizon..just sayin'..anyway, I got a weird call yesterday. The Troopers fund people called and wanted a donation. I said "sorry, not this year"..hung up. Well, the guy must have been mad because he called back..when I didn't answer (I could see the number on caller ID) he kept calling back. And back, and back...you get the picture. Then a weird cell phone number started calling me, which I didn't answer either. Needless to say, when you wish it was a computer voice, it's a human with a bad attitude! Sorry you had such a crummy day..hope the rest of this week is better!
Maggie, Damn girl. I hate those phone systems too. I finally realized it's to encourage you to visit their store/headquarters so you can be ignored by real people. I swear I saw an ad for "customer disservice rep" on Craigslist yesterday.
