Was He Looking At Me!

No Silly Not Tinkerbell shes a girl! Even though she is looking at me here... I needed my computer to do this post and look when I found it my fat little darling  was on top of it. Sorry Tink calling you fat is like the pot calling the kettle black or something like that!

OK enough about Tinkerbell lets get on to the reason I was looking for my computer. You know I am still going to pool therapy and having to parade around in a darn bathing suit which to say the least is like one of those horror movies showing now around Halloween.
Well I am in the pool doing some kind of neck exercise and in walks this guy who I had seen there a couple of weeks ago. He looks around the room and when he sees me he lit up like the fourth of July! I could of imagined this since I my head was leaning sideways and I had taken a pain pill not to long before this so it could of been my imagination.

Then he slides real sexy into the pool and swims over to me. Yeah to me the woman with her neck and chin doing things that are not pretty and he says, "Hi Maggie I am Johnny!"  Well I can not in all honesty tell you what I did next. I was so shocked that I don't remember if I straighted my head back up to the normal position or if I kept it tilted to one side. I don't even know if I said hello. Hahahaha

First of all I was thinking he called me Maggie. I mean yeah that's my name but how did he know it. Then he turns around to go over to the instructor and he has a woman's name tattooed on his not too bad looking shoulder. You know me working in Law Enforcement I have a thing about tattoo's. I immediately think of inmates. lol

In a few minutes he is back over not far from me doing his leg exercises so I guess he has had knee surgery or something and he starts talking to the instructor. He mentions he worked for the railroad for thirty years and was retired from there. But I think he might be still working because he looks to young to be retired. Then they start talking about meals and he tells her he cooks all the time. I should of told him about my giveaway but I was too busy trying to hurry up and get out of the pool. hahaha...
Then he turns to me and ask me if I know any good recipe's for cooking chicken in the oven. I am not lying to you I looked at him like what is a oven or what is chicken. I am sure it was one of my dumb looks that I can surprise people with.  I got over being shy when I worked for a men's prison for 15 years but all I could do was stutter...real slow well my sister-in-law fixes the best fried chicken in the oven. He waits on me to tell him how she does it and I am wishing that Scottie would beam me up out of that pool into the safety of my home. lol
Finally after staring into his pretty eyes for way to long I said, "For some reason I can not think of her recipe but if your going to be back here Thursday I will have it for you then." He smiled and said he was going to be there Thursday afternoon so now what?

I know you your laughing thinking how silly of me. First of all it is silly because I am sure the man did not light up like the fourth of July when he saw me. It has been too long since I have seen that look so I probably don't even know what it looks like anymore and he looks too young for me and I was in a bathing suit for gosh sake. No one in their right mind would look at me in a bathing suit. haha

Anyway I can not believe I act so silly when a nice looking man tries to talk to me. What am I in the 4th grade again. I guess it's because I know those days are behind me. I made up my mind several years ago no more dates or relationships with men other than friends. Now I will be nervous all day tomorrow thinking about going to the pool at 3:30....anyone want to take my place?

Hope you entered my giveaway! I am hoping one day that one of these sponsors ask me to give away a Kindle, Ipad or Lap Top...I bet I would not be shy then. Me being shy is just too funny when I think about it.

Here are some flowers that I wanted to show you. Can someone tell me what this big pink one is? I love it.

Hundreds of butterflys out today! I thought of Sherry over at Country Wings In Phoenix and her sweet story about her neice Amy who lost her battle to cancer!
OK I know I should know what these purple balls are but can not think of their name.
The white ones below are White Lantana.

Our friend Marydon  had cancer removed yesterday off of her nose and I am asking for prayers for her. She is such a blessing to all that know her. Her site is Blushing Rose  so be sure and wish her well. Lot's of my sweet friends out here need your sweet prayers so click on my friends list and check and see how they are doing.

Gary has had his second round of Chemo. He told me over the phone last night that he faired pretty good this time. While riding in his girlfriends convertible his hair was blowing away. I guess that is one way to let it go. Bless his heart! He did not make our family reunion because of his treatments and I know that was one of my reasons for being sad.
Appreciate all the prayers you are sending to heaven for me and my brother Gary. I know he appreciates you too. I need prayers for getting closer to my kids. God I love them but I don't think they realize how much.

Well guess I should go and see if I can get something done. Just wanted to share my pool therapy adventure I had yesterday with you and these pretty flowers I am sitting in right now.
Love to all!

Hi Maggie,
I can always depend on you to keep it real!
I would say that he likes you in your swimsuit and he likes you for you. I'd also say that the chicken recipe is just to get your attention or maybe he would like an invitation to your place for a home cooked meal! I'm sure you'll know more when you see him again.

Sounds like there might be some vibes in the air between you too. Can't wait to hear more about his encounter.

I adore both Sherry and Marydon. Sherry is going through some tough health problems too and I'm hoping Marydon will be alright.

Love your flowers. At least you still have some.

Big hugs

Yikes... either way, don't forget to breath or you'll be skipping bases with kisses from cpr! Hugs you funny gal. I need one of you somewhere in my house on bad days. Tammy

I think that big pink flower is a Hibiscus, Maggie. I had red ones at one time and the flowers were the size of dinner plates.

Now, ahem, onto your man issue. You don't know, he could have lit up. Maybe he thinks you're the woman who breaks wind in the pool so he will hang around you when he has to do it and then will just tilt his head toward you when everyone looks at him. Did you ever clear that up {now that I'm thinking about it}? Anyway, I would just make sure you have that recipe with you on Thursday and start thinking about what you might do/say if he invites you to test it out.

First off I will say Tinkerbell is so pretty and looks very nice atop your computer. :)

Sweet Maggie I am one who believes everything that comes our way happens for a reason so I am anxious to see what happens with you and the man at the pool.

Loved all of your pictures,..those flowers are beautiful.

Glad Gary did pretty well with his treatment. Still sending up prayers for him and you. Will send up prayers for your friends too.

Love and hugs sweet friend! Nose kisses for Tinkerbell.

Bahahahahaha, Maggie - can't stop laughing! It's Penguin "The Sequel". First - google every chicken recipe you can find. Second - jump his bones tomorrow in the pool. If you are not that bold then get close to him, fake a cramp and pretend to be sinking. Third - after he rescues you, invite him over for chicken dinner as a thank you! THEN, tell us everything. hahaha

Ummmm Maggie, do you have any idea how awesome you are? That is why Mr. Cutiepie was chattering away.

Bless Gary's heart...I will keep him in my know, I went and had my head shaved the night before I started my chemo and it was very liberating. Lord have mercy I am so glad at least my hair grew back.

Tell Ms. Pearl to give you kick in the britches so you will know how awesome you are.

Love ya!

Hi Maggie. I think the flowers are peonies as CJ said. They smell really good and the ants love them.
Good for you girlfriend......anxious to hear more about your pool boy.

My show went great....My Birthday Party was GREAT fun last nite (my post yesterday) I booked my Airline tickets to Silver Bella to hook up with Lulu and life is pretty darn good,,other than I ache like crazy and have a Glue gun burn on my middle finger! (Is there some meaning to that??)

I love the new Admirer twist! Have fun with it! The last time a man turned and looked at me, I probably had something in my teeth! Ackk!

The cat is so cute! Good to hear about Gary. This story is a hot one..happy dreams! ;D

You ALWAYS make me laugh!
And don't sell yourself short; just because one man didn't have the brains to appreciate you, doesn't mean there aren't others who won't. You just got burned so badly, you are having a hard time. Don't make vows to yourself about 'never'.
BTW, look at Tinkerbell's picture again. That kitty is looking at you with such love in her eyes, I was touched!

As usual you are just too much, Maggie.
You are saying what we all think at one time or another.

Is this a new friendship beginning or a short romance?????? Just have fun with it.
We Want To Hear All About It.
Oh, no one is going to be taking your place at the pool tomorrow. ESPECIALLY if we have to be in a bathing suit. Gad, forget that.
Keeping you and yours in my thoughts.

Well, Maggs...All the girls pretty much covered it. Relax and let Prince Charming sweep you off your feet...and invite him over for chicken and to meet Tinkerbell. After all, love you - love your, cat! lol Can't wait to read how Thursday goes!

Didn't know about Marydon. Thanks for letting us know. Also, you know Gary is in my thoughts and prayers. Complete healing for both of them.
See you again soon.

Hello Maggie,
I love this post...I can hardly wait to hear about Thursday afternoon and you giving him the chicken recipe...maybe it will lead to....dinner, a drink, a walk????
I think you sell yourself short and there was some electricity in the air!

joanne said...

My dearest Maggie,
I do believe that you are too hard on yourself. If he saw you in a swim suit without falling down laughing then he's a serious fella. No be careful to keep Ms. Pearl in check and bake you up some chicken!

also, I think it's a Hibiscus or Rose of Sharon, I have a pink one and it is so pretty right now.
Will keep Gary, Marydon and Sherry, and you'all in my thoughts and prayers. take care and I expect a full report on Thursday.

Tam said...

Dang Maggie you owe me a dry cleaning bill because I just spit my food all over my lap top and blouse. Girl I knew when I saw the name of this post not to be eating while reading it. Some fools never learn.
Now lets get serious for a minute. You owe it to your friends out here in blog land to jump his bones tomorrown in the pool. Well maybe not but what a story that would make for your next post. I can just see you being kicked out of therapy because you jumped another patient in the pool.
Just relax and let nature take its course. I mean we all know that you need someone in your life and he could be one. You never know Mags...just keep Ms Pearl under the water until he leaves and everything will be fine. lol
Tell him you forgot to ask for the recipe but here's my phone number call me!
Oh that picture of your Tinkerbell is so cute. I love her just looking up at you like, What I am not doing anything!"
Ok I will be back tomorrow looking for Part 2 of the pool fling.

The French Bear said...

Ha ha Maggie, you are a hoot!!! I think he lit up cause he knew Ms. Pearl was somewhere close by!!! I say go for it, stop at one of the foodie blogs and borrow a recipe!!
Keep us posted honey!!!
I have been saying lots of prayers for Sherry and Marydon......those girls are such sweet ladies and I can't believe the pain and suffering they have been through lately!

Your cat is so beautiful and your story had me ROFL - thank you, I NEEDED a good laugh!

I hope that Gary is doing well with his treatments. Looks like you have something to look forward to (tee hee!) I will DEFINITELY have to stop by more often - I want to hear part two of the story!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hay, a man who can cook ranks high. Nothing sexier than a guy in an apron. Also, you have seen each other near naked so there are no surprises.
Being hit on is a marvelous feeling at any age, even at my 70+ years. Please continue this story.
Great news about Gary's chemo going well. The hair loss is not much fun, though riding in a convertable is a good way to let it go. He is still in my prayers and I will add your friend.

Fist of all...I have to tell you, I am crying all over my keyboard! Andrea and Miss Sarah are singing and that song always makes me cry.
Also giggling over your handsome Aquaman encounter. Do let us know how Thursday goes.
I agree with the others...the pink flower is a double Hybiscus. We grew them around our pool in Houston. Our Iguana lizard loved to eat the flowers!
Love you post!

Have some fun, Maggie! Sheesh. You're not over the hill yet! Enjoy a little flirtation with your "pool guy."

PS. Glad Gary's second chemo went better for him.

I'm telling you, Maggie, it's karma. It's your turn. Yep, it truly is. Now stop blushing and think what you're going to say after you rattle off that recipe.

If anybody gives you a KIndle, ask for two. I absolutely am crazy about mine which I bought for while I was in hospital. Haven't learned all its features but nice to know I will not have 30 books sitting around gathering dust after I read them. I have read two, and parts of 3 others.

Popped over from Nezzy's today and now since it's Thursday, I'm wondering how the pool therapy and chicken recipe give-out went!

Gypsy Heart said...

You are hysterical! :-) Don't worry about all the what if's, ok? He's brave in approaching you so smile, talk, laugh and have fun! Get that recipe and have that chicken baking in YOUR oven. I'm sure he's trying for conversation & perhaps a home cooked meal. Go for it, girl!
