Number 54 Won and Sad News!

I was excited when I thought of the two in one giveaway because I love giveaways and this allows two people to win. As always I now use the wonderful Random Generator to choose my winner and it chose number 54.  Of course then I had to rush back to my site and count to number 54. I  turned out to be Tam.
Congradulations Tam on your win.

This is the comment that Tam left that won her the giveaway.

"Sorry Maggie I think I am the only one taking advantage of entering as much as you want too.
Thats ok my chances go up. lol"

Well how funny Tam your chances I guess did go up because your number came up. So email me at grandmayellowhair@gmail.com and let me know what follower and friend of mine you want to spend your gift certificate with and I will make arrangements with them.

On my previous post about ordering a new dogie bed for Forrest because Tinkerbell was naughty using the old one for her litter box. Well my heart is breaking as I type this to you. Not more than two hours after I wrote this post my dear sweet Forrest was hit by a car in front of my house. I was at the dentist when it happened and when I got home I could not understand why Forrest did not run to meet me when I turned into the gate. No matter where this girl was when she heard my car and how she knew it was mine from others she came running to greet me. I would stop right where she was and give her a pat on the head and then drive up to the house.

The tears have certainly been falling the last couple of days for this sweet little friend and I will miss her terribly. I have not had the heart to tell Barbara my landlady yet because she loved her Forrest.

What really is so sad is that for the last three years I have tried and tried in cold weather to get her to come inside and she never would then this winter with Gretchens help we got her inside. Like I mentioned in the post before this once that happened she was thrilled and loved being inside with me.

I have several stories about her and Tinkerbell inside that I had meant to share with you because they were funny. Tink just did not care to share her home with someone else. Forrest was so laid back and friendly that she just let Tink do her thing and never once snapped or barked at her. lol

Boy we get attached to our pets and I had no clue how much I loved this little girl until I lost her. So give your furry babies an extra hug today for me.

Love to all
Maggie

Gosh, that rain just keeps on pouring down on you, Maggie. Just doesn't seem fair that such a lovely person should have so much adversity to deal with all the time.

It's good that so many people love you, because there are lots of hugs and prayers coming your way.

Mine included.

=)

Maggie, I am so, so very sorry about Forrest. These events really shake us. I am sorry to say that I have had the same thing happen on more than one occasion. Even after all these years my pets are never far from my thoughts.

P.S. There is a pet post on my blog today. I hope it can cheer you up. It is sort of sad but with a very happy ending.

Oh no! I am so sorry Maggie to find out this about Forrest so it is hard to be happy about my win but I do thank you for having this giveaway and my number to be the winner.
I will browse your temptation site again and let you know what I have found and your a sweetheart for having this giveaway. Thank you. Maybe soon I can do a post about it if I ever get my site on line. I too lost a dear sweet pet this past week and I have not done anything but cry so I know how it hurts.
You have really been through so much that I just pray every day that things turn around for our sweet grandmayellowhair.
It will to because with a Heart as big as Texas how can it not.
I will email you about my great win and to ask you some questions about setting up my blog.
Hang in there and keep in mind Forrest had a really good life because of your love for her.
That is what I keep trying to keep in mind about my Razz.
Thanks Maggie
Tam

Hi Maggie:
So sorry to hear about Forrest. They really wiggle their little souls into our hearts and their essence is then mingled with ours forever. I hope soon you'll only remember the good things about the sweet pup and that your hearts all heal at her loss.
Love and hugs from us.

Oh MaggieGirl...this has torn me up so I can imagine how you feel. This is why I rarely take my MollieDog in the front (even though she loves it). I can't keep her out of the street and she has a mind and will of her own.

I'm thinking of you today...and mourning your loss.

Love, Rebecca

Oh Maggie,
I am certain your heart is breaking into a million little pieces over the loss of Forrest. I so enjoyed reading about the bed and the antics of your kitty and well, it just breaks my heart FOR you over the loss. Pets certainly do add joy and companionship to our lives and we never are quite the same when they leave.
I hope you find some peace in your heart and know my love and prayers are with you for healing.
many many hugs to you!

Oh my gosh,Maggie, I just caught up with this post and had no idea that happened. I am so sorry and I have to admit that tears are falling. It just doesn't seem fair that after getting Forrest to be so comfortable with coming into the house at last, that this should happen.

My dearest Maggie, Just popped in to see if you had been wrting to us again.and read the news about poor Forrest.. I am so so sad for you. It is awful when you have to have a beloved pet put to sleep but I think it must be so much worse to loose them in an accident.
I am glad you have happy memories of him though especially giving him such a cosy last few nights..
