A GIVEAWAY FROM ME TO YOU

THIS IS WHERE MELANIE TELLS ASHLEY .....I WILL  LOVE YOU JUST AS I DO NOW  UNTIL I DIE! This was a the Twelve Oaks bar-b-que and their on the balcony and down below everyone is acting fools because they found out the War had started.

I have watched this movie more times than most southern belles and I did not catch this beautiful saying until the other night.  I honestly use to watch it because of Rhett and his love for Scarlett but now that I am older and much much wiser I watch it because of Melanie. If only I could be as sweet as her....ahhhh but no it is not to be Ms Pearl will not let it happen.

Now to the giveaway! Lets make this simple this time around. If your a follower or join as a follower  and you leave a comment on this post or the any of the next Temptation Mondays posts then you are entered in the contest.  If you put it on your site then you automatically win...opps I meant to say your name will be put in 10 more times. lol
You have a choice of one of the many Gone With the Wind  collectors plates  or the famous Ms Rubys Fudge or Peanut Clusters. You also have a choice of White Chocolate Peanut Clusters or the Chocolate Peanut Clusters.  The decisions is yours.  This giveway will end on December 28, 2009 midnight central standard time.
I will try to post some pictures on here of the different plates that I have. Hope Santa brings me a digital so I can share my Christmas decorations with all of you too.

Oh Maggie, this is one of my all time favorite movies! Born and raised in the south and now living in the Atlanta area, so many of the expressions and landmarks are so meaningful. I just loved Scarlett's determination and the story of strength and love of the characters.
I would love another chance to win some of your delicious (I'm sure) chocolat'...
Love your sweet generous spirit Miss Maggie~~you are a doll!

Christmas Joy and Hugs~

Try not to be surprised but I have only seen parts of the movie when I was about 5 or around that age. I never had reason to want to watch it. I guess now that I'm older, I can watch it.
Shocking huh??

Oh, I LOVE that movie! It's definitely time to watch it again and introduce it to my younger daughters--don't think they've ever seen it...Bad Mom Award! You're so sweet to do a giveaway--count me in!

Love your fun posts--you're a creative, funny woman--with or without Ms. Pearl!

Oh I do think my sister (Auntie Cake) has read the book 10 or more times. I think she reads that darn thing at least once a year :) If I win the plate I do think I would have to gift it to her...maybe for her birthday...she is my OLDER sister & if she dies I'll get it back (I know she always reads my comments on other people's pages :)

Nothing better than Gone with the Wind! When I read the book, when I was a teen, I stayed up all night for a week until I finished it. And what a movie! Wonderful! laurie

I saw the movie was on the other night but I didn't watch it, but my Mom did and she said they had some interesting clips after wards like old screen tests and sets. I was so disappointed I missed the aftershow because this is one of my favorite movies too! I actually always liked Melanie, I thought Scarlett was a naughty brat, however as far as the men go~ give me Rhett any time. Ashley is a bit of a wimp. Oops, did I just say that, LOL!

I will definitely be adding your giveaway to my sidebar. I have several sweet teeth I have to satisfy regularly.

Thank you for coming by and leaving such nice compliments, I'm glad you found me too!

Great post!! I too have watched this movie until I could probably play the parts myself!! I never really liked Scarlett as I thought she was a lousy friend & person in general. I always loved Melanie but she too had personality issues...(no one is that sweet & understanding)!! LOL!!
(I see Melanie as passive aggressive & a closet drinker just to tolerate Scarlett on a daily basis) LOL!! LOL!! LOL!!
Just kidding!!
Merry, Merry Christmas!!

Good Morning Sweet Friend...
Oh what a wonderful movie, Gone With the Wind. What a treasure it is every time I watch it. Who could ever forget.."Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn." It was so daring.

I always loved their dresses. They were so beautiful. I think I would have loved that era.

Thank you for sharing sweetie. Please enter me into the giveaway. I would adore a plate. How fun would that be?

Country hugs to you and Ms Pearl. Love, Sherry

Ya'll have a wonderful day!!! God bless you....

What a wonderful give away. Too bad I will be gone. GWTW was released the year I was born and I first saw it when about 5. The soldier getting shot in the head scared me for a long time. As my romantic nature grew, so did my love for that classic story. One of the only movies that I will watch again and again.

Midlife Mom said...

Oh I just love that movie! Also love Carol Burnett's rendition of it on her old show!! Remember her dress out of the drapes? They don't make them like that any more!

Maggie, I'm not posting so much to win the goodies - I always feel odd about maybe seeming greedy - but more because I've enjoyed reading your humorous posts and wanted to say thank you for stopping by my blog, becoming a follower and for your sweet compliments! And, because you are such a hoot! I can't imagine doing what you do! Changing dirty diapers was enough!
:-O

Have a happy weekend!

Okay, in my defense, I usually don't read my sisters comments on other peoples pages. But I sure did this one! And in my defense, people always have to ask which of us is older... And I totally have read Gone with the Wind WAY more than 10 times. More like 100! I have the whole dang thing memorized by now... Sisters! Sheesh!

Sweet giveaway you have here. I can taste that fudge now!!!

We watched GWTW the other night too. They just don't make movies like that anymore. I was born in Memphis so does that make me a southern belle? We traveled all over the eastern part of the U.S. when I was a kid. I remember my mother saying my brother and I had a 'southern drawl'. I love it and love the south 'cept when it's hot.
Love fudge, I don't need it, I want it. Thanks sweetie.

Hello Maggie!! Wow just noticed your giveaway..Oh yes please enter me!! My Mom will be 90 in Febuary and she saw the original Gone With The Wind in NYC with my Grandmother when it came out in 1938. When I was growing up mom would always tell me little snippets from the movie. When I was 15 I read the book on my summers vacation and then saw the movie the first time with my Mom that same summer. Now flash forward years later I am living in Georgia since 2006.. We have been to the GWTW museum in Marrietts Ga. which is so interesting and contains the hat "Bell" wore....Anyway I love the story Lets see my mother loves chocolate and so do I and we love Gone with the Wind...tough choice!!
Love ya Maggie...I will post this on my site as well!! Always following...Susan in Georgia!
