Gosh I have missed you! It seems like forever since I have been to your site and said hello. I am hoping that sometime over the weekend I can take the time to visit everyone of you.
Each day Christi and I are both returning to our normal routines of life. Just like these roses that are trying their best to bloom for me one more time this fall.
You would be proud of me...I even cooked two healthy meals this week and some cookies. lol What goes better with a healthy meal than chocolate chip cookies. Yummy! Can't wait to make a Pumpkin Pie next week.
Christi is getting the help she needs to over come and if I had the insurance I would be in therapy myself but right now you are my therapist. Just what you wanted to hear when you have your own problems to deal with.
Isn't it something that we are already in the middle of Novemeber. I find it hard to believe that next week is Thanksgiving. I have so many things to be Thankful for in my life and You are right there at the top of the list.
I wish I could thank each of you in person for all the uplifting lovely comments and prayers but for right now I will have to settle for thanking you through the wonderful world of blogging.
Christi is back at home and I am here back on the North Forty dealing with trying to get the ranch last minute mowing done and some of the fences painted before our first big freeze. Unlike most of you we are still having hot afternoons and we even got rain last week so I have to mow at least one more time. I tried this afternoon late but the durn tractor would not start. I kicked it a couple of times but for some reason that did not help so I called someone to look at it tomorrow.
My house in town is coming along slowly. I have one more big room to paint and some cleaning then I will be ready for the next renter. Will I try my best to pick a good one you bet!
I had a really nice lady close to my age come out here today to look at the pink house that is still for rent. She works as a counselor here at the college and I like her very much. She even wants to see my house in town. As much as I would love to have her for a neighbor I think I would love having someone like her living in my home. Hopefully she will choose one of them.
My landlady is coming the weekend after Thanksgiving and wants to convince me to rent the pink house for a bed and breakfast. I told her we would talk.
It is good to talk to you tonight and I miss you. I am better and will be at your sites soon.
Sweet Dreams and love to you
Maggie

Hope things keep getting better for you and yours.
I'm glad you are back home and trying to find what normal is.
Bless you sweet Maggie.
It is amazing that you are having green grass and need to mow. We are getting ready for another snow storm.
Hope you feel like you are catching up and ready to enjoy Thanksgiving week.
Hi Maggie, I have been stopping by but not always able to leave a comment. I have been praying awfully hard that things work out for you. I checked on my boy yesterday as I was going to work. They show pictures of the water in New Orleans and talked about a tornado. I just wanted to make sure he was o.k. He started to work down there the 31st of October. You are right the time is flying and I don't know where it is going. Take it easy and don't over do. Hugs from your Missouri Friend.
sweet dreams dear one, I have missed you.
Welcome home and I hope you can do all the outside and inside chores you have planned! Work is also good therapy I think. (cheaper too!) I've thought of you alot and I'm glad to feel the old Maggie in your writing. Have a good weekend!
I sure hope things continue to grow brighter for you with each passing day. Keep moving forward, new friend.
I have missed you and are glad you are back somewhat. I have been thinking of you and your daughter and praying all is OK. Not sure what happened but know I have been praying, it will all be OK.
Grass to mow in November is funny to us in Ohio. We have leaves everywhere!! Temps in the 20's at night.
God Bless~
Debbie
You know, I would much rather help a friend through her rough patch than deal with my own, so thank you for letting us be there for you. I hope things are mending and that you will have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. {{{{hugs}}}}
Know I'm thinking of you Maggie! You take care of what you need to, you sound like you've got your hands full just dealing with the ranch stuff. That would be great if that lady rented your house in town.

so good to hear from you, and knowing that better times are ahead. also glad to hear things are "getting back to normal" what ever normal is!!!! I hope that all the 'physical' things you are doing with your house is helping you gain strength! miss you and your fun stories, heres to hoping you get your groove back soon.
So good to see a post from you. I have been so worried. I even posted today about you.
I hope things are a little better. I can hear your heartbreak through your words.
You have so much going on right now. Hope you find new friends for both of those rentals. ((((HUGS))))) I have missed you.
I am glad to read that both of you are at least on your way to healing and that Christi is getting the help she needs. I will keep both of you in my prayers.
=)
Sounds like you are keeping busy with painting and all...sometimes that is therapy and you can do your best thinking. I certainly did some of that this past summer in my daughter's house. Things seem to slip back into a normalcy when doing things like this. Hope you and Christi are feeling the caring wishes of many good frieds from all over!!
Work is good therapy, yes. But I just find it hard to understand how you can do so much physical labor with your back being in such pain. Boy, I sure couldn't do that kind of stuff.
I do hope that lady rents your house. She sounds like the kind of renter one would want. Hope she will at least rent one of the two.
You do sound lots more like the old Maggie, so I am hopeful that things are looking up for you and Christy.
Take good care, Maggie, and for goodness sake, don't overdo or you could be laid up for the holidays. Love you,
Dear Maggie, I'm so glad to read your post tonight, and to know that things are slowly returning to normal for you and Christi.
Nothing like doing something and keeping busy. I hope that you don't over do it. Good luck with your next renter. I hope that you get some real people who will take proper care of your house. Hugs. JB
Still praying for you and Christi. Send some of that warmth this way, it's Colder than a frog's behind. We had a frost this morning that looked like snow..Susie
Glad to hear that things are starting to settle down for you. This has been a trying year for you, but I always try to remember that our good Lord won't put more on us that we can bear. Many prayers and thoughts winging their way to you.
Isn't "normal" a gift sometimes? Let's hope and pray the days ahead bring more joy than hardship....
So glad to hear you are both on the mend. Bet you wish you could kick something besides that darned old tractor!
blessings to you and Christi - Marsha
Glad to read that things are slowly getting back to normal...whatever that may be ....
Fingers crossed that the lady who has viewed the next door will also like the town house Don;t know which I would rather she had..Think having company next door during the upcomming winter would be valuable...but then so woudl the rent for the house...oh dear decisions decisions..
We are still having it quite mild over here. Last year this time we had snow and ice..admittedly it was a bit early...say it might get colder end of week...
Take care dear friend,
Love always, Sybil xx

Just wanted to check in and wish a very Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Hope you have many blessings~
I just read through you past few posts. It sounds like life is putting you and your daughter through the ringer. I am so sorry!
I admire your ability to put on a happy yet honest face while expressing to us your pain. Having a child hurt is horrible. Hang in there. I will be thinking about this stranger I came upon in blog world.
Checking to see if this works. Hugs
Maggie...so sorry I'm behind on visiting..I hope all is going well for you and your daughter...
I am so far behind on reading blogs. I want you to know you and Christi are in my prayers.
I live moment by moment. That is how I cope. I think there are support groups out there that are free for whatever you are coping with. Some are beneficial. Some are not. It never hurts to check them out.
As far as you and Christi goes, talk, talk, pray, pray, and then talk and pray some more. Love & hugs.
