No Bluebonnets but Roo is here!

The county I live in is famous for it's Blue Bell Ice Cream and our state flower the Bluebonnets but this year the Bluebonnets are few and far between. Here on the way back from Warrenton/Round Top Show in early March we found a small patch while visiting Sharon's mothers grave site.

Neither one of us could walk very far so the show was not enjoyed this time but maybe in the fall.

This is me hiding behind a big hat that comes with me on most of my trips to Warrenton.

My friend Sharon wearing her favorite color pink. Isn't she beautiful! Everyone always ask if we are sister's and sometimes we just say Yes! lol

Gosh after my trip to the emergency room that day seems like it was months ago instead of last month. I could actually get up and down .....hahaha

Yesterday I went to two doctors appointments one only to ask me why I came to see him. Duh  I had no choice he was the workman's comp doctor. He initially saw me when I first had my accident and like before he was no help.  Also saw the famous pain doctor who sent me back to work too soon.  I so wanted Ms. Pearl to come out on him but dang the ole woman hides when I need her. Gave that some thought on the way home and all I can figure is she is so doped up and laid back now that by the time she realizes she should speak up the moment is over with. Who knows why she is quiet sometimes and louder than a wildcat the next.

So good ole pain doctor decides that I should come back in a week for some injections in my muscles and maybe that will help. He thinks I should stay off work for now too. Wonder what made him make that decision.
I dread the thought of this man giving me any kind of injection especially in a muscle.

Called my Captain to tell him their force back to work thing would have to wait at least another week. I could tell he was disappointed because I know their short handed. Actually plenty of people just not enough workers. What's that saying too many chief's not enough Indians.

I tried to explain to the doctors that there is no light duty in a sheriffs department but that went in one ear and out the other. I told them about the violent inmate who tried to beat himself to death with his own fist that did grab their attention but only for a second.  Actually I can't get that picture out of my brain. It has had a major impact on me because in all my years of law enforcement I have never seen anyone actually use their own fist to beat theirselves up. Horrible never want to see that again.

Well my friends it is in the middle of the night and I have been to bed twice but sleep will not come because of the pain so I thought I would do a post so I could touch base with all of you and to Thank You for all the comments, emails, phone calls and cards. You are the best friends ever and one main reason for blogging.

Let me end this on a Happy note. Our sweet friend  Libbie, at The Middlest Sister site had a darling baby boy last week and she named him Roo.  Roo has a beautiful sister Annie, and two very active brothers Bo and Rocco. Libbie honey aren't you glad you have sister Kate to babysit that is when she is not playing professional football.   Kate has the blog Auntie Cakes and one of things on my bucket list is to watch her play a game. I hurt all over thinking of her playing pro football.

Is that not the cutest baby boy you have ever seen.  If you can go by and see this adorable little guy and congradulate Libbie. I love Libbie and her family. They adopted me via internet and now I have Sisters in MN. lol  If it weren't so darn cold there I would re-locate but then I would miss my adorable family.

Love to all

You and Sharon look so pretty sitting in the flowers, Maggie! What a fashionista you are in your ruffled jacket and hat! : ) I hope you are feeling better as the days pass and you are home again to rest.

Hope you feel better soon. Love the hat and bluebonnets. You two are both so pretty. It's no wonder people ask if you are sisters.

I'm so relieved that you have been pardoned for at least a week from your 'work' sentence. I have a friend who has gone through several back surgeries who still suffers from constant pain. She receives injections that gives her total relief several times a year. Now, this doesn't repair the problem but she says the relief she gets is unbelievable.

I'm lovin' the pics of you, your buddy and all the bonnets. Both real and blue!

Know girl I pray for you each and every day. I hope you can feel my prayers!

God bless and have an amazin' day my sweet friend!!! :o)

Hope you'll feel better soon Maggie!!

But, I must both remind me of Lady Bird Johnson...she had a photo layout amongst the Texas's wildflowers once...and she posed so similar to you in the Blue Bonnets. And speaking of Blue Bell Ice Cream.......oh, be still my heart.

My Wednesday Link, if you'd care to visit is here:
Have a glorious day! And thanks for dropping by for a visit and leaving your comments this week!

I will continue to say Prayers for you.
Sorry to hear about your bad doctors. My niece had the same bad results with her pain dr. He told her it is all in her head. I wish they could feel your pain.
Baby Roo is adorable.
You look so beautiful in your bonnets.
Thanks for keeping us up to date. Try to get some rest.

Just love the photos of two friends sittin' in the blue bonnets. My daughter brought me back a package of blue bonnet seeds when she traveled to TX. However, I didn't get them sprout so I guess those seeds knew they were in MD.

Sure hope you'll be feeling better soon...I believe it is time for another opinion. Wishing you rosier days!

Loved the shot of you sitting amoung the flowers. How many people did it take to get you back up again. Would have taken two for me.
I was once given steroid shots right next to my spine for pain and it did nothing but scare me. Hope that isn't where he is going.
Sure wish you could find a doctor that could give you some real relief. Our backs are such mysteries. Keeping you in my prayers gal.

So glad to hear that you will not have to go back to work for a week! Stay on the mend, do nothing...and rest...even if that is without sleep. Sorry about the pain and I hope the injections next week do the trick if it isn't gone before then!

Sister! it was sooo good talking with you the other day & I know you are so hurting... don't let them bully you around ... I know how work affected you seeing that fiasco of violence, it so shows in your voice, sweetie. I worry so about you & hope that they truly understand how seriously bad the pain is for you. I'll call you in a day or so ... so relieved you aren't going back to work just yet.

Love your picture & hat, but you know how I love hats!
You & Sharon look just lovely ...
Love & hugs ~

You look so cute in that hat! That baby is a cutie too! I'm glad you aren't working right now and hopefully they will let you heal or maybe it's time to look at not being able to work..I know that's probably not what you want, but your pain and situation is really sad and I hate that you have to go through with all the red tape and government crap! So rest and I hope you're feeling better real soon!

Hi Maggie,
You sure look cute sportin that little hat and I love your outfit! Adorable.
Glad to see that you are doing better. I have no faith in doctors, none at all, so I'm with you on that one.

LOVE you in that hat. I'm a little surprised Ms. Pearl was not at the Dr.'s office. She would have been awesome at that moment. Sorry you are still in pain but I am happy you don't have to work this week.
If I win the lottery, I'll retire you.
Hugs, Kim :)

Maggie girl you are such a beauty. Wish you posted more of these pictures of you because I love seeing you.
I pulled one of your stunts and fell on the driveway but thank goodness it was on my rear end and not the back like your fall.
Just sore but nothing broke thank goodness.
Hope that crazy quack does not send you back to work next week when you return for your injections. If so refuse...can you do that..I talk big like I have a Ms. Pearl but notice I am only doing this in a comment.
Take care my friend and hope to sit down and write you a email sometime before the week is over.
Always your friend

I too love Libbie's site.

oh i wish you didn't have to do those injections! pain is
such a thief of our sleep and well being. it robs our
strength. i pray yours will leave!

you are just as pretty as your pink friend.

Maggy, you two young girls dress up so pretty sitting amid little blue flowers. Maybe Miss Pearl is all worn out needs a little rest or is distracted by something else. Could it be that she saw that young man beating himself and is traumatized. I'm sure that she'll come back out shortly.

Lets hope Kim wins the lottery. Take care, love, JB

Yes lets all pray Kim wins the lottery...haha

Roo is definitely the cutest baby ever Maggie!!! But WOW so is that girl sitting in the blue bonnets!!!! I hope you and Sharon had a good time in Warrenton inspite of not being able to take in the show much.
I think the injections in the muscle sound just awful my friend. I have to get one in my elbow in a couple of weeks and just the thought of it is making the pain bearable.LOL!
I was so sorry to read about the ER visit Maggie. Oh I feel so bad about everything you have been through! But you have been such a trooper through it all. I think I would have been in the crazy bin by now.

Sending you much love....

I am so thrilled that you would use my pic on your screen. That is the best compliment ever!!!

Hi Mags:
I LOVE the photo of you in the hat, and your jacket is gor-jus! Nice to see you with a smile on your sweet face. You're girlfriend is "pretty in pink", too! Thanks for sharing your photographs.

Thanks for a medical update, too. I'll continue to pray for pain from relief for you. Can't imagine being in your shoes. Healing hugs sent your way.

Maggie....lea is right...pain is a THEIF of our sleep...and I so feel for your every I know first hand all about it as well.
I hope you can be "eased" back into your workday and not rushed into it. NOT GOOD FOR THE BODY.
Yes, some and many Doctors are not worth "the powder it takes to blow them up" as my mother use to say... about useless people.
You life sounds a good bit like mine was. Husband ran off...which was at the time, my best friend. But she actually did me a great favor, as it turned out.
Love the images of the Pajama Party' are a good bit young than myself..but we wore the same kind of "shorty pj's" like that. I have a picture of one of them..that I had sent to my boyfriend at the time...who was in the ARMY with ELVIS...and Elvis signed the picture for me.
A true treasure.
