Roy Not Brad!

You are not gong to believe this story but it happened I guess two days after the toilet paper accident.

Roy (one of the Grumpier Ole Men) came by to tell me goodbye and to ask if I needed anything. He was returning home after mowing out here for about three days.
We were sitting at my round table near the front door and all of sudden he yells well maybe not yells but it sounded like a yell. OMG I forgot to zip my pants and then he reaches down and zips up real fast. Disgusting! I of course did not know what to say but Ms. Pearl said, “Well Roy it seems we are even now! You don’t tell anyone about the toilet paper trail and I won’t tell anyone about you walking around unzipped!” The look on his face was price less but hey when you have a chance to half way save your reputation you take it Right? Hahaha I can not tell you how thank ful I was that I did not see anything. Oh Good Lord ....later I told Christi you read these novels about women starting their lives over and the prefect man moves in next door and so on and so on but NO I get Roy not Brad!

Christi was so thankful that she was at the local Coffee Shop catching up on some work on the internet and was not here to answer the door. Then she had the nerve to say, “You too sound like a good match!” I told her when I am back to normal she will regret putting that out in the universe.

My long lost world traveler of a friend Sharon returned Monday and took me to another Neurosurgeon in College Station. (Remember the one that bought Warrenton out)

Well wish you could have seen us. She was dressed like she stepped out of some New York magazine shoot and I was not even good enough to pose for Good Will shoots. But at least when the doc came in the exam room he knew who to go to…hahaha

He did not have too much to add from the other doctor. He is going to send me to Physical Therapy when I can move around more and to a Pain Management Doctor.

I was hoping he was going to have a miracle cure for me but he was fresh out of those.

Bed rest and different pain pills! I am starting to have a pharmacy over at my house with pain pills. He wants me on Vacodin not sure how you spell it and Valium …not happy about these two but told him I would try it. Actually it is what I turned down from the other Neurosurgeon. (Sharon punched me when I tried to turn down the Valium)

So that is pretty well where I am now. I did manage to ride over to CS which is 45 minutes without passing out on Sharon which is something I feared. She’s lost so much weight running from country to country she would of broke something trying to catch me.

He did tell me that I could prop myself up more than 7 minutes at a time on here…he too thought Christi was a nurse from some Third World Country.
Clint was a sweetheart while he was my nurse. Could not talk him into blogging but when he arrived he was loaded down with soups, crackers, tuna fish, Vienna sausage (lol) and of course cookies and Diet Dr. Pepper. Oh and would you believe Toilet Paper. I guess he heard about how I waste it. He also worked on my house in town that I have not been able to work on since the renters from Hell moved out…we are putting it up with a realtor this next week and giving it away to the lowest bidder. So if you need a nice home in Texas just email me.

I guess I was hoping for him to tell me no nothing is broken just get back up go to work and mow til you drop. But soon that will be in my schedule.

Just wanted to let you know that Maggie is here and moving back and forth to the bed and bathroom but slowly. Also I have not forgotten about my giveaway that ends soon. If I can get someone to take pictures of what I have put in your box then I will post it before then.

I was very excited last night because I slept for the first time in days. I guess the trip wore me out.

Ok back to bed and the ice pack and my view of the ceiling....I hate this ceiling fan does not go with my bedroom ...any suggestions about what I could do with it...besides clean it...it needs a poofy touch right

Love to all

Maggie

Maggie~

That is what Roy gets. Maybe he will remember that the next time he makes fun of someone.

I am sorry that you are still not feeling better, but hopefully soon you will be back to normal.

I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! Take care!

Love~

Poor Maggie.....I want you to feel better. Are they just thinking it will take time. My son went through so much. He had kidney failure from taking 20 Advil in a two day period. That was the start of his back pain.....two surgeries one year apart. So much pain medication. I was so worried about that. He did okay going off of it. He's doing well now but they expect he will have more surgery down the road. Take care girlfriend.

Hey Maggie, well, well, well, since I have a neighbor who routinely walks around that way I can't say I am shocked, but let's hope it WAS an accident huh. Sorry just teasing :)

Is this Roy one of those you called "Old Men"?
What a Looker! He looks young and healthy. Wow; send him to me!

Maggie, go easy on those meds. That Valium is bad stuff, even when you are thinking how good it is. Doctor gave it to my aunt and uncle. She got so nervous with it that she fiddled with her hair, one at a time pulling them out! Poor woman.

Have you considered chiropractic? Or Acupunture? Probably the insurance will cover it. I just want to see you back to healthy and sassy, as we all do.

Will you enter me into your give-away drawing:

Love you Maggie. Hope you will tell us how you got hurt. Oh, and don't forget to tell Roy I'm waiting for him.

About the ceiling fan....string some TP on it...lol

Anyways, glad to know nothings broken and you need physical therapy...just be careful of the Vicodin and Valium...Pain management helps.

And one more thing...if I could, I'd buy your house and you can drive by and paper it, being that you have a lot on hand...or should I say....on pants...lol

have a good one Maggie

If I was on vicodin and valium I would never sleep. Most people relax with valium but it keeps me up all night and makes me kiss guys that are not my boyfriend! There is a story behind this! lol So watch out! And keep Roy away from you!

Bunny your so funny...I do have two broken vertibraes but nothing serious. Thank goodness no more than that.
Yes I am not excited about taking Valium and may take one and decide I can not take them...I will just have to see.
Thanks for all your concerns
Love
Maggie

I'm not sure if your better or just sounding funny as usual! Sounds like the meds might help...so don't fight them.

You should take that Valium & Vicodin (sp) EXCELLENT pain killers ... you'll enjoy your days a lot better, sweetie.

Love that 'get even' ... brought back memories of the night that Johnny Carson during a break went to the bathroom & forgot the ZIP IT UP move. We were in hysterics as the first 20 - 30 seconds no one realized what he had NOT done, & then the camera man realized the situation & tried to focus ABOVE that arena ... when Johnny 'got the word' he was about as red as they come ... & he being a relatively shy guy in real life, was mortified.

Get better sweetie ... rest & have someone PAINT those fan blades or replace them with the new ones at Lowe's ...

Have a beautiful weekend.

I can tell you are feeling at least a bit better! Good! Take it easy, tho. Hmmm, about the ceiling fan.....my grandbaby always liked it when I taped a crepe paper streamer type ghost on the fan, then turned it on....Are you easily amused?!?

Happy PINK SATURDAY! (tomorrow)

Maggie, Maggie, Maggie,

What are we going to do with you??? As my mother used to say, "should we wrap you in cotton and put you on the shelf?"

Okay,,,Now I'm going to go a bit "Miss Pearl" and tell you to lay OFF the Valium. It is a tranquillizer/sedative, pure and simple. One before surgery or a "procedure" is ONE thing,,,but that stuff is addictive as HE,,,double hockey sticks!

I'm thinkin' when you're up to it you could decoupage the fan with pics of Brad....that'll get your head spinning!

Lulu "snuck" an email to me. She has pneumonia....Ackk! My only email response was "I love you but GET BACK in Bed!" I'll keep you posted....

Glad that I'm working Sat/Sun because it's raining BUCKETS here in Washington State,,,,,I may be in the market for a house in Texas if this keeps up!!!

I love you my dear and funny friend,,,now YOU GO and GET back in BED too!!!

Hugs and "Pieces"

Glad you are now able to move from bedroom to bathroom, make sure you don't forget anything in the process...

I'm bummed the doc didn't have some miracle cure for you. I was hoping he would have you up and around in no time flat. Hope you do get better soon so you can enjoy this beautiful summer that is arriving!

Hi Maggie...Well, at least you got another opinin for what it's worth! What are you supposed to do live on pain meds til it heals? That doesn't sound like much! ...Time, I'm not very good with patience! Too funny about the barn door being left open! LOL Come say hi :D

We miss ya, Maggie. Take care, okay?

Hi Sweetie:
I'm glad you were able to make a safe and quasi-comfortable trip to the doctor. I'm sorry the news wasn't better, though. How are we gonna go dancing and shopping if you don't get back to your ol' self?

Love the story about Roy's "barn door" bein' open. Karma's a bitch, eh, girl? lol Glad he's got some incentive to keep your tp incident to himself.

I wish you were closer. You might be able to float around in the pool for a little relief for your back. And, if that didn't work, at least I could be close when you "ring your bell".

Hope you feel better (Oh, a 20 ga. might work on the ceiling fan might work! lol or white paint.)

Hugs,
Donna

Finally taking time to read blogs....
Maggie..and Ms Pearl, PLEASE be very careful with the pain meds...bad stuff they're giving you, although I'm sure you need something. It's easy for us to say DON'T cause you're the one feeling it all. But....

And as for the ROY thing, good that you got him back, but like the meds, be careful! He may forget to zip up again..hehe letting Ms Pearl deal with him is smart...she knows how to handle him just fine.

Oh, I'm so glad you still make us laugh, that's the best meds ya know..

Keep the good attitude, think good thoughts and count the ceiling boards backwards, naming the spider as you pass it (o:

Love ya Maggie

Arkansas Patti said...

I too am so sorry that the doc didn't have a magic bullet for you. You just aren't the ceiling staring type.
I agree with some about the drugs. Both are addictive and Vicodin is known to actually cause rebound pain. I know you need relief, just please be careful.
However if you do become addicted, think of all the Hollywood types you will meet in rehab:)
Do take care lady and hang on to your sense of humor. You are priceless.

Ha!Ha!Ha! Joke's on me. I goofed, putting name Roy with picture. This 'ain't' Roy? Well, whoever the man is in the picture, send him on to me.
