Ms. Pearl Is Furious!

Someone please calm Ms Pearl down. I can not remember being this angry in a long time.

The renters that lived in the pink house out here were ask to vacant the house which they did this weekend. I went over to check out how bad the house looked and it looked worse than I had anticipated. How in the world renters can leave such filth for others to clean up behind them is beyond me!

Yet this is not why I am so furious. These stupid pea brained people left their inside de-clawed cat out side with no way to fend for itself. Now what kind of person does that to a poor defenseless pet.

Not only left it outside but with no food or water left for her. If I had not caught site of her running inside the utility room I would not even have known they left her.

They left such a mess in the house and there is a big bag of cat food, litter and a litter box full of cat poop but I never dreamed yesterday when I saw this that they left the poor cat too.

I started to shut the utility door and maybe try to trap it inside but it was over a 100 degrees outside and I thought that would be the wrong thing to do. Especially with the utility room having a tin roof on it.

I called the stupid people and told them to get their butt's back over here and get the cat but they told me they were in Houston and would not come back.

I left word for the cowboy out here to see if he had a trap I could maybe catch it in before something gets it tonight but no word back from him.

It was after hours for the animal shelter and they won't come out tonight. I phoned the Sheriff's department and they told me to call back in the morning and they would get animal control to bring a trap out.

Well tomorrow morning could be too late. We have all kinds of bad creatures running around out here at night and little did I know they once lived in the Pink House.

I tell you if I could get my hands on those people right now I don't know if I would turn loose of them.
I know Ms Pearl would not. She is spitting mad and can not for the life calm down.

Well I am walking back over there again and see if she ate any of the food I left out and to see if by any miracle she will come to me.

Sorry for such a post! I have a feeling there will be no sleep for me tonight or that poor kitty.

Hopefully this will not end badly.

Love to all
Maggie

I hope you can get the cat to a safe place. People like that are sickening. Animals are not disposable. Good luck Maggie.

I agree with Kim -- sickening is the perfect word for them.

This is unforgivable. Is there not a law against animal abuse. A renter nearby my daughter's pulled this same trick, left their cat behind. He came to daughter's house and has happily lived with them for over ten years. Weighs 32 pounds. Visits every neighbor about for his daily handout, catches moles mice snakes and birds. Ha, no wonder he is such a whopper.
I sure hope your declawed feline stays safe. Stupid uncaring ijits. I thought you had the place to yourself. Leaving the house in a mess certainly says a lot about those people.

We just got over being ticked off enough to kill, the result of renters at the ranch. Good luck!

I'm so glad Ms. Pearl is out and raging mad and determined to help a poor kitty left behind. I've seen such cruel, idiotic, totally indefensible behavior before and am astounded every time at how totally disgusting some people are. And it sounds like these people were disgusting in so many ways. How dare they leave that adorable little pink house such a mess?? But most of all, how could they be so uncaring to an innocent little living creature? I so hope you're able to catch and help the poor kitty, Maggie. Ms. Pearl can accomplish so much when she's out on a totally justified rampage!

This little cat has a champion in you dear Maggie. I can never understand a person who can mistreat a defenseless animal. Hoping you'll be able to catch her in the morning.

I have stop being surprised at the depths of insensitivity and stupidity that some people can sink to. I am still appalled but unsurprised. I have a real bone to pick with those who declaw.....have you ever lost a toe or fingernail?
Puss is fortunate to have you. I know about losing sleep over animals....toes crossed that all goes well.

I sure hope that you can catch that poor little kitty. I don't know how people can be so horrible to animals.
Glad you were there to protect it.

These crappy people, did just about everything horrid, I'd say!!! Left the rental a mess. Left an indoor cat, outside! About the only thing worse they could have done, was set fire to the place. UGH...

I fully understand how upset you must be. But!!!!!! YOU are the important part here. Staying rilled-up is Not, Not, Not good for our HEALTH.

Please.... Make yourself calm down. For your own sake... Do what you can, for the cat... Then let all the anger go. For YOURSELF. Please...

Please post tomorrow, that you have calmed down. Please. Cause now, you'll have "Auntie" all worried and upset, about you.

"Auntie" sezzzzzzzzz... Take care of yourself my Dear.

HAPPY FULL THUNDER MOON, July 3rd.!!!

Maggie, I'll never understand those kind of people either. That is evil and cruel to do this to defenceless animals. It saddens me that in this day and age people are so uncaring.

I know exactly how you feel about this abandoned kitty. So often people will drop off unwanted cats at the farm and I have to deal with them and feed them. At least they have all their claws to defend themselves as we have coyotes, foxes and raccoons around.

I always say that if I ever catch someone dropping off their unwanted cat at our barn, I'll call the police on them. The nerves of them. House cat and barn cats are not the same. Maybe there's a Miss pearl in me to. It burns me up....

So sorry bout the mess they left behind at the pink house.

Hugs. JB

I can't believe people would abandon a de-clawed cat, or any pet for that matter. Where's their sense of decency and responsibility?

Really inexcusable.

Maggie, there's nothing left to be said about the situation, it's been said very well in all the previous comments.

Positive side, you're on the kitty's side and will see that she is provided for soon.

Peace, Ms Pearl [between you and Maggie all bases are covered]

Oh, Maggie, Miss Pearl has a deputy now. Wish I could spend ten minutes in a dark alley with those idiots. Hope the kitty is okay, and I hope those fools never get their mitts on another animal, ever.

Poor kitty. I hope you atch it so you can get it some help. I don't understand these renters and those you had before. I would never leave a place like that. I leave it so that whoever moves in has nothing to do but move their stuff in. I am glad that you are rid of these people though. I thought they were a bit weird when they took your plants.
Hope you are doing well. I have had power one day now and it is storming. I sure hope it doesn't tke it out again. So many, like our whole village is still without.
Happy 4th.

WHAT is the MATTER with people?!?!?!?
Can you file an animal cruelty charge?
Because abandoning an animal
like that
is definitely under the
animal cruelty statutes,
isn't it?
"Neglect".
I've seen people charged with that.
What kind of a black heart
does someone have to have
in order to do something like that.
Makes my heart ache.
I'm glad you're mad.
If more people got mad about
this kind of thing,
maybe we'd pool our corporate mad
and find some creative solutions.
Pray that kitty has a beautiful
next chapter in his life.

Sending up prayers sweet Maggie that you can catch the cat and keep her safe until you decide what you want to do about her. I am so sorry to hear that people have once again left you with a big mess to clean up. Big hugs!

Hi Maggie, You never know what people will do. I wish someone would lock them out of the house with no food and see how they like it, but they would probably break out a window or something just to get back in. People want pets, but they don't want to take care of them. My daughter has a very soft heart when it comes to dogs. She has several that has come from the pound.
Hope you are doing o.k. in this terrible heat and it is only the first week of July. Maybe hubby being in the hospital was god sent because the a/c wasn't working at work last week. The hospital didn't have any problem with theirs because you froze. Have a great 4th and watch the blood pressure please. Hugs Your Missouri Friend.

Aww Maggie, I am so sorry that your blood pressure is in such a tizzy. You have such a right to be pissed.
When I worked for the power company, I often came upon empty homes with abandoned animals. I will never understand the mentality of people like that. That is what got me into animal rescue years ago.
I hope she made it through the night. I am sure the food and water you provided helped.
Lets hope animal control gets on the stick in the AM. Please let us know how this turns out.

I didn't read the other comments, so someone may have already suggested this, but have animal cruelty charges filed against them; you've certainly got the evidence.

O Good Grief. Some people I'd just like to slap around a bit then work them to death.
You're not making it easy on me though; I've got to rent my Grandmother's house and this makes me shy away from renters. My sister lives a few doors down so she'll keep an eye on the place...thankfully!
Happy July 4th!

Having fallen in love with my rescue dog, and been a city official, the story of people abandoning pets is unending and unbelievable.

TO anybody considering an pet, dog or cat or other--be very sure you intend to spend what it takes to keep them healthy, feed them appropriately; love them unendingly and spend time with them.

I have spent as much on this dog as my own medical needs; I feel guiity every time I board her, even though she is boarded where I first met her, a veterinary clinic after she was spayed. The girls all love her and spoil her, know her by name. We have had her 13+ years and even in her elder years she is so much joy.

I cannot bear to think how she was formerly treated and I was told. I report cruelty when I see it to the SPCA, Humane Society and police. We have a pet ordinance in this town whidch prohibits cruelty, even though some of its other regulations are onerous.
