One Long Week!

Good golly miss Molly I sure have missed you! If I told you everything going on here right now you wouldn't believe me anyway so I will just do a quick short version if that's possible for me.

I chose this pic to use in my post today because I sort of feel like I am on a wild ride and can't get off.
This is My landlady, Tinkerbell and Me.

I just knew that in July I would be a better blogger and keep up with you but turns out I have gotten worse.
As you know from the last post my John Deere blew up on me and caused much pain to my foot and I did have it looked at and I do have some hairline fractures in the foot which I knew it had to be with the pain I am in.

Problem is too much rain for the last 9 days has caused many problems out here and the cute cowboys house flooded so I have been trying to get mud out of his place because he is at some horse show up North somewhere. Did I ever mention he is in the Cowboy Hall of Fame. hahaha

Anyway along with that my roof leaks got worse and I am trying my best to save my antiques from any water getting on them. Plus my landlady is coming back today after four days last week. Not good since she doesn't ever slow down even long enough to potty, eat or sleep which are all major things to do in my life.

She is taking bids on me a new roof but wants to be here when they put it on so I don't know what that means because I am use to living alone now and after a couple of days I start feeling kind of like I have an itch but I don't know where to scratch and then Ms Pearl starts trying to rear her ugly head and I keep trying to push her back because I need this job out here and I do know if anyone can get me fired it is her.

So I am a nervous wreck to say the least because now the grass out here looks like I am growing wheat or pot because it is so high. They haven't brought me back the bucking bull John Deere but I do have my new Bad Boy and the huge tractor but the big one is not automatic so the foot that is hurt has to use a clutch so you see my problem.

Anyway there are other issues but I did promise you a short version of why I am missing in the world of blogging.

Hope that you are well and that your enjoying the summer. Just know that even though I am half out of my mind I do love you.

Love to all
Maggie

Holy crap Maggie! I missed a post and am stunned. You have so much trouble on that old north forty! I hope your foot heals quickly. Sounds like you were lucky it wasn't worse.

Dear Maggie!! I will pray for you that things will soon get better for you.
Sorry to hear about the foot but it could have been worse.
Did you say you were getting to much rain??? We sure do need some badly.
We are in a severe drought and my grass is history....

Just remember...This Too Shall Pass!

Take a deep breath, realize that you can only do...what you can do. Chill out.

Call the tractor place...and explain the situation and demand to know when you can get your automatic back...or ask for a "loaner" until it gets fixed. As a last option, Pearl would accept someone else coming to cut the grass until your tractor is returned....or the money for it! Let Pearl get her stress relief...before the roofers get there. Hugs!

Well I'm new here so I'm trying to grasp the situation. So you work there or oversee the place? Sounds stressful when the landlady comes. Hope you can hang in there until it all passes.

I can't complain about you, because I've been a little scarce around blogland, too. With the hubby retired, I don't get on as often!

Phew, does not sound like a fun time at the ole ranch. Hope you are staying off that fracture. You sure don't want long term problems.
Could you maybe get some one to come in and cut the grass for hay? They should pay you for the hay and the drought states are crying for it.
Take care Maggie. This too shall pass.

Oh gosh, when it rains it pours, Maggie! I hope things get better soon! You make sure your landlady knows you have fractures in your foot. You need to stay off it!

Dear Maggie, you seem to be doing the farmer dance like me. ONE STEP FORWARD AND TWO STEP BACK...

I'm busy too but thank goodness I don't have a landlady dragon breathing hot steam down my neck like you.

Taking care of this place seems to be a bit much for a young old lady like you without having to take care of the cowboy's flooded house too....
I'm sorry about all your troubles and I hope that your foot heals fast and that you get the tractor fixed.

I hope that your roof get fixed pronto to protect your antique furniture. Love & hugs

Having just gone through roof repairs my heart goes out to you. We finally got rain today I was going around making sure nothing was leaking! We needed this rain..sort of like you last year! Hope that foot heals, just give it time and rest. I know, I know..no rest for the weary..or is that "no rest for the wicked"? I don't know, just have a good rest of this week and keep Ms. Pearl down when the boss lady is around!

Hi Maggie, I was wondering about you was just about to send you an e-mail to see if you were o.k. I haven't done to well blogging with problems we have been having with hubby lately. We could sure use some of your rain. Just be careful because fractures are no fun and don't let you rest like you should. I say a prayer for you that things improve in more ways then one. Have a great day. hugs from Your Missouri Friend.

Hoping that foot is better soon. I know one gets antsy when laid up with an injury. 2 days to replace the roof...if the husband and friends could replace our roof in 2 days...tearing it off and putting new shingles on, a roofing contractor should be able to get your roof done in that time frame or less.

I'm praying every thing gets done soon, so you can rest for a week!

Oh, Maggie! What a week you have had! Please give your foot time to heal. And don't let Ms. Pearl fret about the John Deere. That grass will be waiting for you whenever you and the mower are ready again.

Oh, sweet Maggie will it ever end. I swear if there is anything to happen that doesn't need to it looks you up and gets right down to business. I am so sorry you are having such a horrible time right now. Since you have been getting the mud out for the cowboy maybe he will do some mowing for you when he gets back. I do hope things get better so Ms. Pearl don't surface and clear out the place. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs

You have a landlady who just turns up and stays? I find that most odd! Anyway, I hope everything gets fixed. Antiques don't like rain... I should know; I am one!

Oh my goodness....in your case, when it rains, it pours!!!! And to have antiques that could possibly be ruined in all the dampness and wet, I can see why you're a nervous wreck.

Maggie? I was so happy that you stopped by this week to give me a holler!! You're always such a delight and your company is much appreciated.

Hope all will be mending and your grass mowed soon. Take care sweet thing!!!
