Bright Colors!

This is me now. If I could sell all my old antiques and start over I would want something similar to this.

I love colors. Vibrant Bright  Colors. Since seeing this on Houz I can't stop thinking about how I love this home. Then I realized this was very similar to the artist Mary Ellen Shipnes's home.
She had the most beautiful ranch near here that had all these bright colors and more. What lovely memories I have of  M.E. and her home. I will have to down load them one day and show you how gorgeous  she decorated her home with genuine love. Like her paintings full of life and amazing cloister of bright colors.
Like this picture here that hung in the dining room. The gorgeous extra large table sat at least 12 people.

Just thinking of you and wanted to say hello really quick because we have a bad storm headed this way and I need to unplug everything electrical. Out here on this hill it is best to play it safe. Their saying 4 to 6 inches of rain with possible tornadoes. I hope the weather man is wrong.
So your lucky no time for stories tonight!

I did hear from my son today and his news from the doctor was the best he could get at the present for his problems with his kidneys.  Right now they will put him on meds and retest him in four months. So once again your prayers have helped me and my family again. How can I ever thank you!

Hope all of you are well and having a awesome week.
I loved reading all your comments from my last post. Your the best.

Will be back soon.

Love to all
Maggie

hope you stay safe in the storms.

LOVE those bright colors, but there is YELLOW in there, Maggie!!!

Yes, another friend said you all (she, too) are heading into a terrific storm. Please be safe.

Was relieved from your note earlier ... please tell Clint we are praying for him. I'll call tomorrow mid-afternoon, sweetie.

Love you ~
Have a beautiful safe eve ~

Marydon

Be careful; I once saw an 1836 frontier home where a woman had ruined the upstairs by trying to make it look like Taos!

Thanks for the good news about Clint. I'll keep him and Gary in my prayers.
Please be safe in the storm. I'll pray for your safety in the storm. That's a lot of rain all of a sudden.

I'm still in the stone ages with colors. I seem to prefer muted colors, proving that I'm a dull creature. lol. However I love bright colors in flowers.

Take care, sending love your way. JB

I love the bright colors too! I just don't have the talent to make them all work in my spaces...if I could afford a decorator I'd hire one to do it all! I'm so happy that your son has gotten through this crisis and hopefully all will be much better soon. Stay safe and I know you need the rain but 4in. at a time is not the way to get it! Darn Mother Nature!

Hope you are safe...continuing prayers for your son!

I've never been able to get enough color...my favorite blouse through high school was a vibrant turquoise! My mother hated it...her idea was everything had to be neutrals, beige, beige and more beige! My wardrobe now is anything but neutral...don't dislike neutral...it's a grand base for color, without it color wouldn't pop! Want to be surrounded by color though, engulfed by color, so I appreciate your love of color!

Hi Maggie!
So nice to hear from you, and then stop by for a little visit with my girlfriend! I love the colorful rooms you've shared today. I can just see you "holding court" in any one of them!

Sending prayers for your safety from the storms, and thanks for your brother's continued good news.

"Miracles are all around us"!
Seems to be my mantra for the past few months. Many of my friends and their family members have had miracles.
Praise the Lord with your son Clint. Prayers will be continuing for him to be 100% well again.
I miss you and need to talk to you!!!

So good to hear about Clint. Think nothing but positive thoughts for him and Gary. Our thoughts are very powerful, which I often tend to forget. Thoughts are bringing in strong energy this year of 2012, so they must be good ones. I too love the full spectrum of color but am so "chaoticsized" and overwhelmed with my chaos, I fear ever getting my surroundings straightened out. But you? So organized! I envy even though envy is wrong. Now I'm worrying about your storm. Keep us posted. I emailed you regarding my tonight's post.

Stay safe Maggie in the old storm.
So glad there was some good news on your son. I love color too maybe not at bright as your picture of the frig. But I do like the painting.

I love the bright colors. My husband would have a complete and total meltdown if I tried to do something like that in the house, though. However, my wardrobe is all vibrant color--not even a little black dress in my closet at the moment.
Prayers that you stay safe and that your family is well are on the way.

You could bring some of those colors in with little things, Maggie, like pillows and some pictures. That is a stunning looking blue in the one living room picture.

Constant prayers for your son, Maggie. And stay safe. We are having record high temps here {80 yesterday} and I'm sure that will play havoc somewhere along the line.

Glad to hear the good news about your son Maggie!! Glad all the prayers that went up helped.
Love your bit of spring in all the pretty colors you have here! The dining room picture is just beautiful! So cheery!!
My news is not so much so right now. Found out I have breast cancer and saw that you have been there too. I drew strength somehow from reading it in your post. I have a lot of decisions to make right now...a little scary!! Thanks for being my blog friend...you've been a support to me whether or not you know it! I'll find the courage to post about it one of these days. So much going on!

Hi Maggie. Such good news for now for Clint. I am praying for him.
I saw that storm headed your way. We had 4-5 inches and terrible hail last week. Then Sunday we had a tornado warning while we were at the hospital with Mr. Cozy. He had a bad tummy bug and they were afraid his kidneys were shutting down. He is doing better now.
SO wonderful to talk to you. I can't wait until we chat again. xo

Hello sweet Maggie,
Oh these colors make me want to dance!
My daughter is redoing a lot of her house in brights too. Don't they just make you happy?
I am hoping that by the time I write this the storm has missed you completely!!!
My prayers are also with your Clint! And with you sweet friend. I loved the post you wrote of you and your friend (the warden) who was there for you when you needed him. It was so special and it made me cry. I can imagine that you have a lot of people in your life like him Maggie. In fact I'm sure of it :)
sending love...

Great photos but greatest news is your son's reports. Prayers work.I find specificity in prayer is important.

My brother's prostate cancer has returned and he has to use VA. He was told he had to drive 200 mi one way to Dallas 6 days/week x 6 weeks, if VA refused to contract outside radiation facilty. We, our Life Group and he all prayed for same thing and it has happened. He has orders in place at a facility a few blocks from his home.

Hi Maggie! Glad the prayers are hleping :) I will pray right now too.

I hate thinking of you in a storm! I am not the bravest in a storm...They still scare me a little :)

Isn't it funny how our tastes change? I wish I could throw out everything in my house & start agin to...good thing I am not rich...I'd waste a lot of money!

P.S. Can you just start small ~ perhaps a bathroom or your kitchen? I'll help! ;-)
