Happy 4th Of July!

Isn't it wonderful to be an American! I know times are hard for our nation right now but we are One Nation Under God! If we stand together and pray for this Nation we will always be celebrating the 4th of July!

I woke up this morning thinking of our troops and what they must feel celebrating the 4th in such a far away land.  Remember our troops tomorrow and pray for their safe return.. Pray also for our Nation!

I have been very blessed the last two Saturdays because my sons from Austin came to see me.
Week before last Chad came and spent the day with Christi and I. We went out to eat Mexican Food and then to the movies. Christi had been dying to see Bad Teacher so thats what we watched.

If it weren't for the language it would be a great movie. I felt like they could of toned down the use of  the potty mouth and still had a funny comedy. But I enjoyed myself because I had Chad on one side and Christi on the other.

Then yesterday Clint and his family came for a visit. Always fun to have them and to catch up with my two grandbabies. We spent the day here at the North Forty for the most part. I had Brisket and Sausage for lunch and then we went to a near by restaurant for dinner.

Kaci and Bailey were a riot to be around. I never can get enough hugs and kisses when their with me.
I will have to share some photo's of Kaci bathing the kittens. OMG she had herself a good time putting them in my claw foot tub. I normally would not have considered bathing them in it but hey when your grandbaby say's please what do you do? lol

Christi missed their visit since she is in Austin this weekend. Suppose to be back in the morning.
I have to work this 4th of July but it's okay.

This will be a busy week for me since I have my endurace test Wednesday. Not sure if I will know the results though until I go back to the idiot pain doctor on the 11th. Did I say that out loud? I really should not call him that.....

It really has been a lazy day of summer here today. Temps are in the 100's and my AC is running constantly.
I am watering what's left of my grass now so I guess I need to take a break and move the sprinkler.
Wish I had a big sprinkler system out here....

Just could not let the 4th go by without

Love to all
Maggie

Hi Maggie. I hear a sunny voice today in your words.
Nothing better than visits from our children. I'd love to see some pictures of your grandbabies. Bathing the kittens had to be so funny.
Sorry you have to work tomorrow.
Our town turns into a
Norman Rockwell scene for 4 days this time of the year. We used to be there all 4 days. Don't think we will make it this year. It is hot and that and headaches don't mix. We had a cookout at our sons last night and our other somn and his family are still here from Colorado. That is celebration enough for us.
God bless our troops our country and you.

Hi Maggie sweet, isn't it funny how our little grands can talk us into almost anything? How many scratches did they have when they were all done?lol!
I am so glad your boys came to spend some time with mom. I love spending time with my oldest son. It doesn't happen often, but it is always awesome.
I loved this post and your thoughts about this wonderful country we enjoy. Yes we need to pray for God's blessings to be on us everyday.
Thank dear, for your message. I am doing great!

Maggie, you sound like a new woman today. It's amazing how having our love ones around can boost our moral.

I hope that you have a great 4th of July and that you gets some positive feed back from your endurance test. You still have plenty of life left to live and I hope that you can live it pain free for a long time. Take care, Hugs. JB

Isn't it just so fun to have family visit? It can cheer me up so much when mine come. I love it when my greatgrandchildren come. My youngest grandson is 15 so when the little ones come it is really special for me.

I certainly agree that we all need to pray for our country. I think we all need to celebrate what the Fourth of July really means, not just celebrate because most people have a three day holiday.

Sorry you have to work tomorrow. I plan to just rest the whole day. I had a pretty busy day today. I went to church for the first time in a whole month and then had friends come over for lunch after. I am really tired tonight so am going to do nothing tomorrow except bake a cake for some friends of mine.

Hope you are going to feel better soon.

Sorry you have to work on the Fourth. Have a great day anyway and maybe you can catch some fireworks later on.

So glad you got to have such wonderful visits with your kids. Kind of a bummer you have to work on the 4th. Hopefully your town behaves and you will have a quiet day.
I agree about Bad Teacher. When I saw they dropped 37 F bombs I decided against it. That is a bit excessive. They are just appealing to the 13 year old boy.
Have a safe 4th.

I share you joy in being an American today. I just got back to the States yesterday just in time to celebrate. I'll say it again and again--there's no place like home.

Hope I can adjust to this Texas heat soon!

On a grand scale there is no place like home, meaning the good ole USA, especially when you have lived outside the USA, as I have.

I will be interested in the tests; probably not the idiot pain DR.

Good luck with the endurance test! Hope it doesn't set you back, though.
Sounds like a wonderful time with your family!
Happy Fourth to you too, God Bless America!!

Hi Maggie, That's so great to have your family visit with you and you have such an enjoyable time. I hope the kitties survived their tub time:)
I've been lazing about and getting rested up to start back into wood crafting soon. We're not in the 100's yet, but have the awful humidity. Take care and stay well my friend:)

Hi Maggie,
Just stopped in to say a big hello and that I have missed you! Been thinking about you, hoping you have been feeling better. So glad you had your boys home for a bit! We have been busy, busy, busy here. Just trying to cram in a ton of family time this summer while my kiddos are all still living at home. Where did time go???

Thinking about you a ton, hope all is well!
