UnCensored!

Is it just me or do you too have trouble keeping up with posting......where did this week go?

I finally got back to work only today after living in the bathroom all week. Turns out the doc says I have some kind of food contamination which has caused a lot of uncomfortable moments for over a week now.
Yet when I return to work today one of the Officers there had the same symptons that I have so I am thinking a stomach virus.

After what happened today I realized I returned to work way too early. It was so disgusting and unfortunately I am sorry to admit not the first time it happened to me. So bad I hate even blogging about my day.

As most of you know I worked many many years for the Texas Prison system. On my very second night as a Correctional Officer I was assigned to work the Catwalk Security position. First let me explain what a catwalk is for those of you who have never had the privilege of being in a prison.

The catwalks where I worked were steel walk ways built over four large dorms which constituted as a wing.  Two dorms on one side of a huge hallway and two on the other side. The catwalks were built over the dorms and across the big hallway.  You are actually over everyone and could be seen by 108 inmates on one side and 108 on the other side of the hall. The walkways were totally huge and open on all sides and bottom. No privacy for them or you!

Your job in the catwalk is watching everything going on in these four dorms and especially the two Officers working inside of the dorms. Mainly you are responsible for the safety of 218 lives.

I worked nights then and it was maybe twenty minutes after lights out and I am walking from one end of the cat walk to the other when I see this idiot inmate happily touching himself in places that were not permitted in sunday school!

Now keep in mind this is my second night to work in a prison and to say I lost it is an understatement. I made the Officer in that dorm trade places with me which is a NO NO and I went downstairs found the inmate and Yes you guessed it! Ms Pearl came alive for the first time. She let him have it down one side and then the other.

Safe to say that was the last time this idiot showed his all to me or any other Officer working there. Actually in all honesty my favorite Warden of all times transferred him to another unit in TDC when he read my report. hahaha

So back to my disgusting day. Yep you guessed it. Another looser showing how utterly stupid they can be and yes Ms Pearl still knew how to totally shame an idiot up one side and down the other. Only bad thing is there is no favorite Warden now to transfer the idiot.

Tell me please that you had a better day than mine.  Also please pray for me that six months down the road from now I have a new wonderful job or that I am retired.

Have a great weekend!
Sweet dreams
Maggie

Hi Maggie,
Yes, it's been very hard keeping up with all my blogs this summer! I have been reading and guilty of not commenting!
I certainly hope you can get out of that place soon! It's no place for someone as nice as you and Yes, Ms. Pearl to be working! Please take care and always be thinking of your safely!
I'm still thinking of trying to write a guest post for you too! It's a hard thing to write about ones self for some reason! I just need to apply myself I guess!
Thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers!
Hugs!

Dear Maggie, I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep so I made myself a cup of Sleepy time camomile tea and I'm checking your blog at 3:46am.

I'm sorry about your stomach flu. I hope that you are feeling much better today. This running to the bathroom must have made you loose some weight the hard way.

I'm glad that miss Pearl came out on your shift and gave this guy a piece of her mind. I would have like to have seen and heard her. ha,ha,ha.

Are you due to retire in six months? If so, just hang in there. Just keep blogging and six months will go faster.

Hope that the temperature is more tolerable these days.

What a way to return to work -- still feeling crummy and then encountering an idiot! Hope you feel better soon and that you'll be able to retire in six months. I had some patients who were stressed out working in a prison. It's a tough job. May you get another one you like better as soon as possible if retirement isn't possible soon.

Ah, we have to get you out of there Maggie. Miss Pearl could get you into trouble. You ought to wear a sign,"Don't make Miss Pearl come out.You won't like it." Hay, that would be a cool tee shirt.
Hope you are feeling much better soon and I am leaning towards retirement for you. Enough all ready.

Oh Maggie,
There is never a dull moment in your world. I have been hoping you get a fabulous new job since your fall. You need to work somewhere happy not a prison.
Have a great weekend and feel better soon.

I can say that I had a better day than you. Sounds like you had a miserable day.

I would have had to do something about the body entertaining. Guess we know how he go into the prison system.

Take care & feel better,

I am voting for retirement if you think you and Ms Pearl can handle it. I am as busy as if I had a job.

Unfortunately, my social calendar is multiple and varied medical appointments but how different from you is that?

Everyday chores go on but I have the option of saying to heck with it and going to a Moroccan Reunion in September, even if it is in Rapid City SD.

I only have to carry half the house etc but we have a nice sized SUV and truck.

I am praying everything holds steady as it is now, until we get to do this in late December.

I think we may swing through Dallas for a couple on days on the way to SD, as I have a half brother of which I am fond. His heart is far worth than mine and last week I expected the worth. He still is not out of the woods and medically I doubt he ever will be again.

So sorry to hear you've been sick and I pray you are recouvering. I wish you the best in finding a job and sorry you've had such a hard time of it.

I can't keep up with the blogs either. I guess some would like to befriend me or already have. There's just not enough time in the day it seems for anything any more. Hope you have a nice weekend, Love Susie

You are amazing! I do hope you are now fully on the road to recovery now ... And I can not tell you how much I admire your ability to do such challenging work and still maintain a sense of humor. Good luck with finding that new job and with your retirement aspirations. Personally, I can't recommend the retired live enough. And thanks for visiting my blog and your kind comment!

Sweet Maggie I have a lot more free time than you do and I can't keep up with reading and commenting on blogs either. There are just so many wonderful blogs out there but only so many hours in the day.

I am so sorry that you have been feeling poorly with that ole stomach bug and I hope it is all gone and you are feeling much better quickly.

Sorry about what happened to you at work too. I am praying you will not have to work there for very much longer and whatever happens after that be it retirement or a new job will be great and you will be much happier.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and feel great.

Love and hugs!

Hi Maggie Sweetie...
Sorry to hear that all has not been good this week. I will continue to keep you in my prayers. You know I believe that stress may be playing a big part in all of this as well. It can do mean things to our system and you certainly have had your share of stress in the last year especially.

I keep praying that you will be able to retire sweet one. Enjoy sipping ice tea from your porch and seeing those grands a little more. Of course if you are like me, and have to keep working, then I pray they find a GREAT job for you, in not such a horrid part of the prison. Does on such job exist? Well if not, I am praying they create one.

Take care of yourself sweetie. You are always in my prayers. Many hugs and so much love from Phoenix, Sherry

I had a better day than you, sweetie! I pray that you have better days and are feeling better. When I have a not-so-good day at work (and it's often) I think a year from now I will be retired/doing something different. I am so praying for G-d's direction for that "different." Twenty-four years in public service will be adequate.
