TEMPTATION MONDAYS AND A CRAZY STORY

Welcome ladies to another Temptation Mondays post. Meet my new ranch hand Roy! He sure makes mowing a lot more fun. lol  .....Boy o' boy!  Is he a Roy or what!

Geez Marie! Shut the barn door for a minute!

Today I wanted to introduce you to new friend of mine Carol, that is very creative and with the help of her hubby turns out some really great primitive items that I am falling in love with. lol
Her blog is  Fire Cracker Kid  http://firecrackerkid.blogspot.com/ and look at a few of the items Carol wanted to share with us today.

Carol also has a etsy shop so be sure and visit it for other Temptations.   http://www.etsy.com/shop/firecrackerkid

Gina has for you a Crow Calender To add a touch of Prim and Whimsy to your Country/prim home..She machine embroidered each calender month on 100% wool felt. The wood is 18x10 painted black and sanded along with the clothespins..It can hang or lean against something..
How pretty is this!

Remember if you want an item put on my Temptation Mondays just email me with a link to your site and a picture of the items.

ANOTHER CRAZY ME STORY

I will try not to make this too long!  As I have bored you guys before I get up at 3:30 am and put on my uniform. Well most of us are creatures of habit and since I have a very limited amount of time to do everything I usually have a routine and stick as close to it as possible getting out the door.  One of the things I do is (silly I know) I put back on my pajama top over my uniform shirt so when I fix my hair I don't mess up my uniform. Well I had hit the snooze button that morning and that is a NO NO because like I said time is short.  Anyway after I fixed my hair in a hurry.....I grab my sheriffs jacket, lunch bag, cat food, dog food and run out the door.

First thing every morning is our Shift meeting....well I noticed the Sgt looking at me funny but I thought little of it and started my day. About an hour into the shift I run to the little girls room....well I  first take off my jacket and then my Utility belt......and yes there was my pink polka dot pajama top bigger than Dallas still on me! OMG  how could I have drove to work, had a shift meeting and worked for an hour with a pink pj top on and nobody tell me!
What really worries me is HOW did I not notice it!
Well I, of course, take it off and hide it in my locker until I get off. Praying that no one even noticed the darn thing.
No such luck.....when I went back to my locker at 5pm it was hanging on the outside of my locker door!  What a idiot I am for thinking no one noticed!
This reminded me of  me in the 5th grade when I went to school with my pajama bottoms on under my dress.  It was a major thing for a young girl to do and try to hide in the 5th grade. Oh how I remember that day! It has been buried in my brain for a while but never will I forget it!
Please tell me you all have done the very same thing too!
Love to all
Maggie

Hi Maggie...Great PJ story...I work alot in my pajamas, the benefit of working from home, although there have been several times when neighbors have caught me running from the house to the workshop or vice versa. You need one of my new signs "Always wear cute pajamas to bed...You never know who you'll meet in your dreams"
Have a wonderful day,
Pat

Lovely creations from Carol and Gina!

Oh Maggie...you are such a hoot! If it makes you feel any better, I once mowed my front lawn, went to 7-11 and then to Target before I caught a glimpse of myself and realized that I had my sundress tucked in the back of my knickers! Luckily that was many moons ago (no pun intended) when I had a worthy backside.

Happy Monday Sweet Friend!

you know your post was great but for the life of me I can't remember anything about it except the cowboy with no shirt...you should have put him last...LOL

Kim said...

LOL Well I did drive to work one summer morning in my slippers! But not my jammies!!!

Midlife Mom said...

Now how are we supposed to remember anything after viewing that cowboy at the beginning?! The only thing that would have made it better if he had been on a gorgeous quarter horse! heehee!

Love all the primitive things that you wrote about. Some people have just soooooo much talent don't they?!

Went to work in your jammies eh?! I'll make you feel better, when I was about 11 I went swimming with a new two piece on at the lake. Ssomeone said 'what is that floating over there?' and guess what,,,,,,,,,it was one of the little snap in falsies out of the top of my suit! Thank goodness I got to it first and got it out of sight. You never forget those things do you?! Waaaaaaaaa!

Gonna pop over and see what the firecracker kid has. I just love primitives!

Well, thanks midlife mom and Nola for not passing over me after seeing the beau hunk and the pj incident. Although Maggie could've said she wore her pj top to work on purpose to livin up the workplace. Ah, but you know men, sometimes they just don't get it:) Thanks Maggie for presenting an interesting case, but I know who the guilty culprit is that caused you to wake up late and wear your pj top to work. Roy! No more late nights with the lawnmower man.
Good luck!
Carol

Your new gardener is something else, bet gardening will never be the same around your place. :)

I was thinking as I read your pajama top story about the time I wore my pajama bottoms to school underneath my dress and found you had done the same thing. :) I think I was in the 6th grade when I did it...I was sooooo embarrassed.

Love the primitives will go see more.

Hugs!

Maggie,
You make me laugh so hard. I am just glad when you took off your pajama shirt, that you had your work uniform on under it!

And apparently you joined my family but Libbie still made me the oldest sister? So not fair... I think I am going to have to pull a not very nice older sister trick on her...

I have had an ongoing dream over the years of showing up at school in my pajamas or my slippers. And to think you've actually lived it!! Oh no!!!! Well I guess there are a lot of things that could be worse than that! I'm sure your co-workers enjoyed a good laugh (and your blog readers too!) ;)

How funny. Don't know if you have good co-workers or bad ones to let you go blithely thru part of your day in PJs.

NICE ranch hand! I think I would be calling in sick to work every day just to stay home with Roy!

Carole Burant said...

Hey, send that ranch hand over here will ya???? I thought I was having another hot flash...I mean power surge...when I saw his picture! teehee!

Oh yes, you are definitely not alone in having had pajama bottoms on when going to school, I did the very same thing not once but twice! lol That is too funny about going to work with your pajama top still on and no doubt they won't let you forget any time soon! lol

I've seen Carol's work and she and her hubby really do make gorgeous items! Will have to go check out Gina's.

Now back to that ranch hand......xoxo
