Part II of Ms Pearl Is Back!

A big fall good morning to all of you. I love the weather today. It is a beautiful day here and I am hoping you are having the same where you are today.

I know I am late posting Part II but I have been busier than an Aggie football player trying to dehorn the Longhorns. lol Right now I can barely move from all the cleaning and painting going on in my part of the world but we will talk about that later. Right now you just want to hear what Ms Pearl did.

Well to tell you the truth she almost got me seeing the other side of a jail cell the one I am use to looking into from the other side. lol

Yep the last time we talked Maggie agreed that a few days of cooling off was needed before going to the Utility Office to look up the nosy ole lady who messed with her daughter. Of course, Ms Pearl wanted to go there that day but thank goodness Maggie waited.

So on Thursday afternoon I decide I need to meet this woman and give her some lessons on how to deal with the public. I took one of those chill pills that I keep around for this type of happenings and wished that I did the pot thing so I could of had it for backup. Never did try that but maybe I should put in on my bucket list on what I want to try.

It only took me ten seconds to know which lady was the one I was looking for that hurt Christi's feelings so bad. I waltzed up John Wayne style to the counter and there were three young ladies and then there was a woman close to my age. I recognized her right away as someone that knew me and my first husband very well and she would know with out asking my daughter who was her daddy.

One of the young ladies ask me if she could help me and Glady's was trying to shuffle papers around pretending not to see me. I told her no thank you I am here to see a very nosy woman and would she please come up to the counter or would she rather me talk to her where everyone in the building could here us.

Glady's looked around for someone that might be of help and then said, "Now look Margaret there is no need for this. I was told by my supervisor you were upset and I meant nothing by asking Christi those questions.

I took that as a No she was not coming to the counter so by then Ms Pearl arrived and started the biggest stink that when it was over they had to call the trash collectors to haul off the trash in the office.

Ms Pearl said, "Glady's you know da** well that Christi's biological father left her when she was only one years old and after a year never came around for his visitations or child support. You also know how hard it was on me and my three babies to not have his help. Not only the love the kids needed from a father but financial help. Yet you see a chance after thirty something years to re-open this wound and while inside just keep digging and digging until my daughter could not stand the pain."

She then stood up and told me to leave or she would call security. Ms Pearl told her, "Go ahead and call whoever you want to but I am here and I am not leaving."

Ms Pearl then tried to explain to the stupid woman that in all these years she was just as nosy now as she was in the early 70's. She also told her that she was no longer the sweet young lady that she remebered years ago. Ms Pearl told her years of fighting for herself and her children had changed her and now would do anything to protect her children from people like herself.  It was obvious she was not listening and wanted me to shut up.

I guess someone else called security and here they come inside the front door. They both recognized me and smiled. One Officer said, "Now Maggie what is going on?" I told them what had happened and they both tried to not show sides but I could tell they were not glad to be called in on this dispute.

One of the Officers asked Gladys if she would just step outside and talk to me in private. She told him no way and so he ask me what was I going to do now. I told him that if I could I would wipe the floor with her but I knew that I did not have time to go to jail. They agreed that they did not have the time for me to do that either.

I walked outside with them and the three of us had a big laugh. They both knew Glady's was a nosy old woman and they advised me to just take it up with the supervisors. I agreed to go away peacefully and leave the nosy woman alone.

You know when it comes to my kids don't mess with me. I may be old but I have a feeling Ms Pearl could of fixed that womans mouth where it would be shut for a good while. lol

Seriously I don't believe in fighting but I came real close to doing something I don't believe in.

Now I am mad again. hahaha....Everytime I think of what that woman did Ms Pearl comes back!

Love to all
Maggie and Pearl

Oh Maggie, I'm sorry you got so upset (and Christi too). Some people just don't know when to keep their pie hole shut.

I'm glad Maggie was able to hold Ms. Pearl back and keep you out of jail! That's all you need right now!!

Seriously, I'm sorry all this happened to Christi. I know what it is to be protective of our children. Even when they are adults, that instinct never fades, does it?

=)

Obviously, there is no reasoning with some people and it is certainly not worth going to jail for trying. We all know that woman was way out of line and I just hope her supervisor knows that too and can deal with it.
I saw a car bumper sticker that seems to fit--mean people suck.

Well, I'm glad you didn't choose the jail option, Maggie, because first of all, that wouldn't have helped and second, I would have missed your blog posts. : ) As a mother I am with you on this, I'm sure all mothers get like a grizzly bear when they feel their young are threatened, no matter how old the young or how old the grizzly. I definitely think you should make this woman's life a living hell but through her work channels. If that means writing a letter to the "big kahuna" than that's what I'd do. She's a bitter, nosey, lonely woman who is a sorry excuse for a human being. Oh God, you better come here and get Ms. Pearl!

Sweet Maggie I am sure glad you made the choice to stay out of jail. I can understand all you feelings though...when it comes to our kids I don't think we ever get to old to get our hackles up and want to mop up the floor with somebody. Maybe...just maybe that nosy woman listened more than you thought and she will be very careful not to talk about you and yours anymore. Hugs dear, sweet Maggie and Pearl too!

If we mama's don't stand up for our own kids, who will? Hope Gladys learned something from all of this!

Sorry Christi had to go through all of this ordeal!

Maggie I'm so glad you confronted her.
By talking with her supervisor it had to have gone into her employee file, you going in there definitely let them know you were serious and not just whining. No you did the right thing.
There are mean hateful and spiteful people where ever you go. You did a wonderful thing as a mother to stick up for your children and not let someone walk over them.

It was also good to see a picture of Ms. Pearl. I always figured she had some serious cleavage!

I don't know if it is Harold or myself that is laughing the hardest from the last & this post, Maggie. Good for you, go gettum tiger!

Please tell Christi I am so sorry for this insensitive human's venom.

Would you PUL-EEZ get out here ... I NEED YOU for a situation that needs to be squeezed HARD!

Don't you just hate it when old biddies that do this crap! We have one that is stirring her dirty cauldron again, for no da** reason ... & we don't have a clue WHY she is stirring on us. Would like to reach thru the 'wires' & do a Miss Pearl on her but then she isn't worth the dirt she stands on. I guess we are learning it doesn't pay to stay home & mind your own business anymore ...

Hurry! The bedroom is all ready for you.

Love you, sweetie.
Hugs,
Marydon

I agree that you did the right thing and not going to jail also.
I am sorry that your daughter had to go through this and Ms Pearl too.
It is a sad state of affairs when people in high up positions think they can do what they want. I hope that she will now be on the hotseat.
Hugs sweetie

You made your point. I'll bet that old biddy will think twice before she tries something like that again.

I had occasion to do something similar last weekend when my son's mother-in-law was not being respectful. It doesn't matter how old they are does it, they are always your kids and they always need their mom's support.

go Ms. Pearl!!!

First of all you wouldnt have hit her, right. I am surprised that they called the police. She needed to apologize. Her superiors that you talked to should have made her do that.
At this point I would let it go. Funny that the officers laughed with you. You must have scared her, hah.
Stay cool Maggie.

Don't mess with Ms. Pearl!!!

Oh Maggie I think you did the right thing telling that woman just what you thought of her!! She deserved it!!
Glad you did not go to Jail because I would have had to fly out there and break you out and then we would have been fugitives and Lord knows what we would have gotten ourselves into!!! :))

Love you Maggie!!

Maggie, if you had just turned the other cheek...you know, the one below your belt...mooned her and walked out..well, then the officers would have really had a good laugh! I don't think she'll be wagging her tongue any time soon. Not if she wants her job!

What a coward and a bully that Gladys is, picking at Christi where it hurts so much, and yet, when Ms. Pearl shows up, she doesn't want to face the music and calls security. Good for you! Maybe you gave her something to think about. I'm so sorry Christi was hurt and you have been so upset. But I can understand. I'm sure such unkindness would unleash the Mother Tigress in any of us!

"There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health." Proverbs 12:18

With all of the verses in the Bible about the tongue, perhaps you should pity that poor woman. Besides being a pathetic excuse for a human being, she may well be setting herself up for an unpleasant eternity.

Maggie, I hope that this nosy moron will have nightmares tonight of you coming after her. Aarrrr...

I'm glad that you didn't go to jail, that would be unthinkable.. and unfair to Christi and you... I'm glad that you had a chance to cool down a wee bit at least before the face to face encounter. I hope that Christi appreciate how much you love her.

I just had a thought running through my head that made me laugh. You reminded me of the blond on the Bounty Hunters. lol... You're a Cool Mama Maggie.

I bet that she will think twice before messing with your family again. Have a good weekend Maggie. Take care, hugs. JB

Knowing when to "speak up" (like Ms. Pearl) is just as important as knowing when to "shut up."

Clearly ole nosy doesn't know the difference. :)

I'm glad you could have the opportunity to speak your mind. I also think that you should personally go in and pay your utilities bill each month...and just glare at her! Ha!

So, got your blood boiling good...and you had to go paint and clean some her huh?

I wish we lived close enough to be friends...we could really stir up some trouble! The good kind of course!

Too funny! I hope you feel better. I have to wonder if that nosy woman will be less nosy next time, can a cat change it's stripes so late in life?! Love the picture too!

I am so sorry that this happened to your daughter. Some people are just so nosy and can't keep their noses out of places where they don't belong. If it had been me, I honestly don't know if I could have handled the situation as great as you did. As my children say, you're the BEST!

Take care.

Are you sure there's no pit bull in Ms. Pearl's bloodlines? You Go, Girl! Bravo to you for stickin' up for your family. Nosy old busy body probably will think twice before she inserts herself in someone else's "bidness" again! Time for her to "tend to her own knitting" as my wise mother-in-law used to say!

Hey Maggie! I'm glad to see you still got your spunk after all you've been through. I don't blame you for letting Gladys have it, that nosey old busybody. No sense in what she did at all. Take care and have a great new week. Tammy

I wish I had the guts to stand up to a few nosy ladies I know. I need a Ms. Pearl! lol That's why my best friend says I'm to nice! I guess you could say she is my Ms. Pearl.

You go girl! If it wasn't for the threat of jail time, you should have smacked her! We all know people like this and it is time we teach them a lesson! Don't you have any dirt on her? Ms Pearl rocks!

Tam said...

Like everyone else Ms Pearl does Rock. heeheheee
Great hearing that you have not lost Ms Pearl. As most of us I was beginning to wonder where she has been.
What a nosy woman! Glad you did not let her get by with such nonsense. I hate it when people think they can just say and do what they want to someone. Especially someone as sweet as your Christi
Have a great week dear Maggie.
Even though I love Ms Pearl stories I don't want her to come again for a while so you can relax or is that a word in your vocabulary. I think not
Always thinking of you

HAHAaaaa.... I do miss Texas and the people who live there! ;)

AND, hooray for Ms. Pearl! That's one reason I do not like living in small towns. I have only lived in one once... thought it would be so peaceful - hah!

People such as this utility clerk? She needs to be fired.

There is no excuse for such rudeness. none

I'm in between dramas... tell me where she is and I'll go step on her toe... I'll say excuse me.
