Broken Mirror!

We all have heard the saying about 7 years of bad luck if you break a mirror. Well let's hope that is one superstition that is totally just that a superstition. Cause yep I broke a mirror last week and so I am worried.

Where has this week gone since I have posted last. Every day I intended on sitting down long enough to catch up with you and every evening something got in my way of my time.

I had my doctors appointment last week with workers comp and it was mostly an hour of interviews with a doctor and then he did a short examination. I had thought it was going to be one of those two hour endurance test but it was not. More like a evaluation of where I am I guess with workers comp. They told me I would get the results in seven days which will be this Wednesday.

Today I had appointment with my pain doctor the one that keeps doing nothing but putting me on pain pills. He ordered the two hour endurance test for me today. I thought I was going to get lucky and not have to do it again. lol....He kept me on the same work level which is only four hours a day with a break every hour. I told him the break every hour is a joke and as far as me lying down in a jail cell to rest is a joke.

Speaking of bad luck Work has not been good this past week but for now all I can say about that is not all crazy people are the ones behind bars. One fellow co-worker acted so bad last week that I have been totally depressed ever since it happened. Would love to write about it but until the situation is solved I will leave it alone.

My daughter Christi is still with me and she gave her Toby his first at home hair cut. Actually not bad for the first time.

Toby behaved really well for being the first time his mommy cut his hair.

Here is one of my bell peppers that I grew in my flower pot garden.

My lettuce in a pot did great. We have had several nice salads. My tomatoe plant is slow growing but we have gotten a few tomatoes. I am looking forward to doing more of these pot gardens in the future.

I know some of you have done some veggies like this too and I was wondering if you have enjoyed this as much as I have. Since my back this is about the only kind of gardening I can do.

Christi, Gretchen and I went to see Horrible Bosses last Friday evening and I have to say the three of us totally lost it laughing so hard. It was one of those really crazy movies where you find yourself laughing so hard your afraid you might embarrass yourself.....lol

I have to tell you I am in awe and very humbled by how my blog has grown this past year. I would like to extend a very warm welcome to my new followers and a big thank you to all you who have been loyal followers for a long time now.  Since I am so close to having six hundred awesome followers I am wanting to have a giveaway. So sometime in the near future I will tell you what I am thinking about having for a giveaway.

Before I forget whats up with Blogger. I come on here tonight to do this post and everything is different. Just when I get use to the old way of posting they go and change it on me .....Don't know if it's me or not but it has not been fun trying to use it tonight because I have this very small box to type in when before I had a half a page. So I hope it is me and I just don't know what I am doing yet.
I am one of those people that hate changes ....hahaha

Hope you have a wonderful week.

Sweet dreams and love to all
Maggie

Funny thing about change - I actually enjoy it.

That cocker spaniel is just a beauty.

Have a good week. ...Marsha

You have so many followers because everyone relates to your honesty with a dash of humor. We all have those bad days, and I'm sorry you are having more than your fair share lately, but you have a way of making us feel like we are your good friends, and you are sharing your latest over a cup of coffee. I haven't seen the new changes to Blogger. Will check it out tonight....I'm afraid--very afraid!!!

Oh, sweet Maggie not to worry about that mirror...you have had your 7 years and more worth of bad luck already.

Christi did great clipping Toby. He is beautiful.

Seems they are still just doing the same thing over and over for you as far as doctors and tests and really not doing all that much to help you. I sure wish they would get it together and do something to help you.

Your veggies are looking beautiful, you for sure have a green thumb. Enjoy all those yummy veggies.

You are one of several I have heard complaining about Blogger. I think they did make some changes.

I am so happy you girls went out and enjoyed a movie and laughed yourselves silly...that had to be nothing but good for you sweet Maggie. Hugs!

I'm wishing you (at least) seven happy years. My boss is okay, but there are moments at work...best left unsaid, but I am so sympathetic! Haven't seen the blogger changes yet, but hope things just settle down with it. Take good care, sweet Maggie.

I was surprized myself when I went to read and post post. I thought I had clicked a wrong button.
Didn't stay there long enough to check things out but now after hearing your impression, I'm in no hurry to compose my next post.
I don't like change.

Hugs

Maggie, I agree that you've already had your bad luck. May your next seven years be wonderful!

Hi Maggie, I have been a little behind in reading or been where I was not able to leave a comment. I wish you didn't have to go back to the pain doctor. I sometime think all they want to do is get you addicted to them. Work comp doesn't like paying out claims and will drag it out as long as possible. I have enjoyed your post and I like your cocker's new do. He is a cutie. Take care Your Missouri Friend.

I have no idea what is happening with blogger either, I have to sign in everytime i want to leave a comment even though I already signed in. Go figure.....
Hope you get the news you want to hear on wednesday.
Not sure about this mirror thing - how many mirrors get broken in a mirror factory or mirrors on cars or in demolition. Its like walking under ladders and stepping on a crack. Probably has its origins in pagan times maybe.
Change is hard, I rebel against it all the time rather than just going with the flow.
Love that Ms Pearl put in an apperance, would have loved to see her go. Believe me there are some stooopid drivers out there, I let rip at one the other day who just stopped in the middle of the road to read a tourist sign, no indicators, no pulling over and I had the double white lines against me as well. I really must learn to verbalise quietly when my car windows are down.

Toby is adorable and your daughter did a great job with the grooming.
Have a great week and good luck with the tests and medication.

I've always thought it interesting how breaking mirrors causes 7 years of bad luck. I mean, do people keep track of these things? So if one has a bad 7 years do they say, "Oh yes I do remember breaking that mirror 7 years ago." I just think it's funny ;)

No more bad luck for you Maggie, you've already had enough. Your veggies look great.
Your daughter has a sweet pup ♥

You've had a lot going on Maggie! I don't wonder that you are tired sometimes! I hope you've been keeping cool through it all. It's been very hot and humid in my part of the country and makes it difficult to be outside for any length of time. I hope those doctors have reports in your favor.

Think your daughter could do one more dog. Mighty needs another cut though he doesn't stand still like that.
When I break a mirror I assume it will "change" my luck. Since you have had a fistful of bad, you should expect smooth sailing from now on. Count on it.

I just heard that google was changing up their looks on every level, including Blogger. Hope all these crazy glitches will stop soon, though. Why can't they leave well enough alone?
Hope all your drs appt's go smoothly, and the results are going in the right direction!
Your container veggie garden is looking great! I didn't think you could grow peppers in a pot like that! I'm going to have to give that a try! :)

Still can't believe they make you do 2 hour endurance tests. Do they pay you for doing them. Don't know how you are handling the 4 hour days but like my friend always tells me.....you have to do what you need to. Thinking about you. (((((HUGS)))))

Have a Wonderful Day ! !

Geez, I don't think it is you. I have had so much trouble with Blogger I've consider quitting.

First I had to quit using "remember my password" with gmail or I could not comment and I would get 503 error messages and a blank page. I discontinued that.

Then I could not link nor post pictures. After 36 hours pouring in the help forum, I have to quit using the old composing window.

Resting at work is the most laughable diagnosis anyone can receive. Actually it is an oxymoron. Work and rest in the same place? HA

Stay cool. We are having some Tex heat here in AR. Oh yeah we have vegetables growing in horse drinking troughs, about the same as pots--tomatoes, and peppers.

Blogger is on the blink half the time these days. I can only see my followers in the sidebar every now and then...some days, they just vanish!

Be that as it may, I am not surprised that you have 600+ followers. You're a gem!

=)

I have not noticed any change but I will have to check it out.
I hope that all your test are in your favorite.
That is a lot of followers but you know how to post things and make us laugh, cry and everything in between,
That is what it is all about.
Have a great day

I think your broken mirror was what you needed.
Don't worry about the bad luck, that's already behind you!
Seriously!

Sorry about all the doctors appointments. So obnoxious!

Love the haircut on the doggie!

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when you were watching horrible bosses. I would have spent my time laughing at you!

Hey Maggie, Tell Christy she did a great job on her dog. I used to be a professional dog groomer and from what I can see in the pictures, she did just as good as a professional would.

I would love you to do a post all about your garden in pots. I am interested in doing this. I think it would be great since I cook for just me it's the perfect amount.

Oh, that mirror thing is all cracked up..just throw it away and get a new one, that'll teach it!
I groom my dogs too and it does save a lot of money. Nice that your daughter is there with you. :D

I love reading your blog and although I sometimes don't have the time to comment, you always bring a smile to my face:-) I think what I love the most about you is your honestly and even through pain, your sense of humour never leaves you! I admire that a lot!!!

Don't you just love those doctors who just prescribe pills and do nothing else. I had one like that and for 11 years I suffered from chronic anxiety with the pills never helping me. Finally, about 4 years ago I found a doctor who truly cared and made sure I got on the right track...look at me now, enjoying life to the fullest, traveling, etc:-) You shouldn't even be working with the pain you're in but I know that's easier said than done.

Oh nooooo, you broke a mirror....let's hope the seven years of bad luck don't come true! hehe I've broken many mirrors and believe me, life just goes on as usual! lol

Your daughter's Toby looks so darling with his new haircut, she really did a great job. Saved herself a lot of money as well...I hear it's expensive to bring a pet to the groomer's!

I love growing my own veggies although mine are in a huge garden and not in pots. If I didn't have a garden, though, I would do like you and garden in pots:-) Homegrown veggies are the best there is!!!

I haven't noticed any changes in Blogger lately so will have to keep an eye out for that. xoxo

I am like you Maggie, I hate change too. I wish everyone's bog were as easy to comment on as Sue's is. I have the hardest time getting my comments posted. I know it is just my stupidity, but I wish they worked all the same. I hope this one gets posted.

That is the prettiest cocker. I think it is great that It's so good that your daughter is doing such a good job grooming , because she can save a lot of money that way.

I too, am impressed at how many new blogging friends you are getting. I have 10 to 15 regular ones and I don't know how I could handle anymore, to tell you the truth. I do like to read everyone's blog at least once a week and by the time I comment on a few each day, I'm worn out. Dick just bought a new office chair too and even though it is more comfortable than the old one, my back just can't take it. I have to change my gell pack at least twice while I am here or I would never make it. How can you stand it? Oh I just remembered, you can take pain pills. I so much wish I could take one or two a week! I am just so allergic to everything. Anyway, I don't see how you can read so many blogs, or do you read them all?

You know what? I have broken too many mirrors in my life, and they haven't brought me any great harm or trouble. Life just goes on. "It is what it is" is my favorite saying and I say it quite frequently, I might add. It's funny how it does help me.

I think it is great that you are raising veggies in a pot. I might try that sometime. I love fresh vegetables and they are getting so expensive. But everthing is getting so expensive these days.

Well, I can only hope that this comment is printed. Here goes.

Hi Maggie, Sorry dear, but I'm running behind blogger like so many this time of year. I've taken advantage of cooler evening to weed my vegetable garden till it gets too dark to see and I come in absolutely wiped out at around 9:50 PM these days.

I start to leave comments and and I'm almost falling asleep on the computer..

I don't believe in 7 years of bad luck if you break a mirror , I've had lots of bad luck without breaking the mirror. Maybe the mirror is tired at this old hag looking in it so it wished that I would break it so it doesn't have to reflect my face. Ha, ha...

That cocker spaniel is most adorable. So still and gentle.

I hope that your work situation improves this week.

Hugs. JB
