Wow Blogger Has Been Goofy!

Unbelieveble for weeks I have been trying to do a post on blogger to check in with you but for some odd reason everytime I tried to create a post Blogger would not let me write or copy and paste anything on here. You guys were so sweet checking on me to see what was up with not writing. I am here but have to admit it was not a good feeling thinking I would never get to say even a goodbye on here. Here on the North Forty everything is burning up! Seriously we have had none of the rains that I am hearing about from all of you who are tired of the rain. I know if there were a way you would send us some. We are facing another horrible drought this summer if mother nature continues to be stingy with her rain drops. I am trying my best to run water hoses to the big oaks that surround the ole farm house because in the last year over twenty trees have been taken down due to the drought of 2011. No way can I water the other 50 acres but thankfully I can water these beauties around the house. Of course I have to complain about the temps being in the three digits every day. Yesterday we had to replace the duct work in this old farm house because for years now I have complained about my huge utility bills and turns out most of the ducts up in the attic had five inch holes in all of the ducts. Maybe now I will notice a difference in the utility bills and my comfort in this old house. There are several post I want to do about what I have been up to this past month so hopefully I can return without any blogger issues. One big complaint I have with blogger is there is so much nonsense that keeps showing up on here even when trying to write you. For example yesterday I could not get on here because an advertisement for checking who has been arrested. Check your arrest records. Who in the heck has time to click on that sight. haha I want to do a post about my weeks of healthy eating and what the results were from trying to eat right. You will be happy to hear that I have been working on some creative projects that I will share with you. Also I would like to tell you about one of the murderer's whom I booked in at the Sheriff's Office before my accident and his trial. Please know I have been thinking of you and wondering how you are so please let me know how you are doing. Hopefully I can stop by your site and say hello. Here is a recipe that I love and thought you might like to try. It's so yummy and not hard to make. If you like chinese food you will enjoy this. Baked Sweet and Sour Chicken  3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts  Salt and pepper to taste  1½ cup cornstarch  3 eggs, beaten  ¼ cup canola oil  1 cup granulated sugar  4 tablespoons ketchup  ¼ cup white vinegar  ¼ cup apple cider vinegar  1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce  1 teaspoon garlic salt Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper. 2. In separate bowls, place cornstarch and slightly beaten eggs. Dip chicken into cornstarch then coat in egg mixture. 3. Heat canola oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until browned. Place the chicken in a 9 x 13 greased baking dish. 4. In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, white vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic salt. Pour over chicken and bake for 1 hour. Got to run! Well Blogger is messing up on me again not letting me type or add picture of the sweet and sour chicken. Hopefully this is not going to be a problem I have to deal with every time I try to write you. Love to all Maggie

I wonder what is going on with blogger. I've had no issues at all, and I hope it gets resolved.

Having said that, I'm glad you finally managed a post and am looking forward to details!

The drought sounds awful, and I hope you are able to save those oak trees.

=)

It seems to me that Blogger is NEVER 100%. It's been giving me fits, too, but I think part of it is Google changing things with their %$#@&)*^% updates, part may be due to the storms disrupting the internet, and part may be Blogger itself. Looking forward to seeing you online more. Take care.

I was so happy to see a comment from you yesterday and now a post! I wish I could send you some rain. We haven't had it bad like some but anytime it rains and it is not overnight is too much for me Lol

Hi dear Maggie......I've missed stopping in here to see what is going on with you. You know with your posting issues....I hope no one has hacked into your account.....I'm always worrying about the "Russians" hacking into my computer. LOL LOL LOL My husband thinks this is so very funny.

It is so hot here also. We are in AZ this summer for the first time in a long time and we have forgotten how hot and humid it is during this time of year. Stay well and don't work to hard.

xoxo

I'm so glad you're back Maggie, and I pray the rains come to you soon. I've had lots of problems with blogger lately, including it removing my blog for a couple days, saying it never even existed. I keep having these ad things pop in, and now some magnifying glass popping up on my dashboard. I don't know what's going on.
Take care, I look forward to the posts you were unable to complete.

I'm so glad you were finally able to check in. I haven't been a very good blogger lately, just feeling a little blah-blah. Hope you get some relief from the heat and get back on here soon. take care...

Oh I have missed you. I have been on the road for a month but now getting back to normal, well kinda, not feeling well, but that is another story.
You haven't moved?
I am so sorry about the drought and the awful temps. We have had rain every day for almost 3 weeks. I won't complain.
You take care and I hope you stay cool.

You are so right--I would send a bit of our rain your way if I could! Sorry to hear that you are having computer problems, I have had my share of those so I understand the frustration. Take care of yourself in that heat!

We've had a ton of rain but I guess I shouldn't complain. I would hate triple digit heat! I sure wish I could send some rain but maybe Mother Nature will hear you and give some relief soon. Could your blog's problem with postings be because Google reader was taken away? I went with blog lovin. I hope it gets better soon so we can enjoy your sense of humor and all your adventures! Thanks for the recipe, it sounds good!

Hi Maggie, I have been reading, but not very good at leaving comments here lately. We have had some hot weather, the worse was the day that the heat index hit 110. We did have a nice day last Saturday spending the time watching the boys ride. A little excitement with Matt getting thrown from his horse. Was a little sore, but going strong. We have rain around us lately, but had the thunder and lightening close enough to wake me up. Have a wonderful day. Many Hugs and Prayers coming from Your Missouri Friend.

Well at least you made it to print. Hope this is the start of the end of your blogger problems.
Have you switched to Google Chrome? That really helped me.
So sorry you are having such a dry time. I'll take excess water any day. Been in too many droughts also. Hope you get a break soon.

Dang it Maggie, so sorry you have been having trouble with blogger! Sometimes it just makes me so mad :)
I can't imagine how hot it must be there in the summer and then to be in a drought too. We have been hotter than usual, but nothing like what you have to deal with dear friend. I sure hope the trees make it through.
hugs from here...

I'm frustrated with blogger too! Apparently you have to have the latest version of Internet Explorer and my laptop won't let me download it.
I finally used my iPhone to post a post because for some reason I can there.

Sounds like you've been very busy.

Hi, sweet Maggie! It is good to hear from you. I am so sorry Google is giving you issues seems it has a mind of its own at times. That is why I left for awhile and then came back. Sometimes I wish I had stayed away but I was missing some of my friends here...you for one. We need rain too we have not had any here in my area for several weeks the grass is all brown. Hopefully all of us who need rain will get some soon. Take care sweet friend and will look forward to the next time you get post. Love and hugs. Give Tinkerbell some nose kisses for me! Maggie

Hi Maggie, thanks for coming over to visit my blog. I sure hope that you'll get that computer thing straightened out. Them computers are great when they work but annoying as hell when they don't work properly.

I hope that the weather will cool down some for you. It's no fun when it gets so hot that you could fry an egg on a rock.
Sending you big hugs for the week.

Sweet Maggie
happy to be here.
I've been absent for months now
The time just seems to fly right on by

Couldn't you just tear your hair out when computer things go crazy. We may not want to admit it, but we love The Internet and are dependent upon it for our daily fixes to keep in touch with our friends

This weather is just plain nutz lately

Talk with ya soon

Hugs
Gerry
