Growing Older!

I hope this poem has the same effect on you as it did on me - then my forwarding it will be worth the effort. Walk with me by the water - worth the read...
A BEAUTIFUL POEM ABOUT GROWING OLDER:

DARN It

I forgot the words.........................................

Hope your having a beautiful day! I am running around with my head cut off trying to get everything done since I am suppose to be leaving Sunday for Iowa. Keep your fingers crossed Barbara changes her mind and we don't go.

Just got off the phone with Christi telling me she has a job interview tomorrow for a Bank Manger position. She has done that in the past so I am praying this is going to be her next position and that she loves it.

Debbie who won my WayFair giveaway wrote me a sweet email and is using her money to buy some very much needed snow boots. Gosh that warms my heart knowing she is using it for something she needs. You know how we are when we nuture everyone around us but ourselves. So Debbie enjoy your new boots.

I am suppose to be getting the word to have another one any day now so keep checking. Also I have a story to tell you about the cowboy out here on the North Forty.

Sorry I know your busy with baking, decorating, shopping, cleaning and blogging but you have to come back for that story! lol

Love to all
Maggie

That would be so great if Christi gets the job.

Still interested to hear about the Cowboy.

Yes, I am still baking cookies. I just took a few minutes break, but now I'm off to clean up my mess. I just took the last two pans out. That makes another 12 dozen today.

Hi Maggie,
The lady from Wayfair contacted me and I ordered my boots! I can't wait to get them!! Thank you so much again. I only have crocs, so these are going to be such a blessing this winter in Ohio. I could never spend that amount of money on a pair of shoes for myself, it's just not in a disability income. I will post about them when I recieve them. I still can't believe it!!
Your poem was so funny!! Oh how our older minds are!!! LOL.
Prayers for Christi and her job. I pray she gets it, and LOVES it!!
Your trip will be awesome girl. Go and enjoy it and take lots of pictures for us!! Did you figure out what to wear yet?
Can't wait to hear the story about the Cowboy. Yippee!!

God Bless~
Debbie

Hi Maggie, I'm late making my rounds again with my blogging friends.

Congratulations to Debbie for winning and ordering her pair of boots. I hope that her boots fits her well. I have terrible feet and can't wear a lot of footwear.

I'm so glad that you decided to go on that trip. Just get lost in the moment and I hope that you laugh a lot. You need the diversion and Christie will get that job , I'm sure. It will be a big boost for her morale.

I'm so contented with what I've got that there is really nothing in all the pictures that I've looked at in the giveaway that I need or desire.
I have lots of scarves that I don't even bother to wear as they annoy me as they get caught in my coat zipper, lol.

As long as I have family and friends and that I'm relatively healthy, food in my belly, a roof over my head, clothing to keep me warm, wheels to get around, I don't need anything more at the moment. I just wish they had books though or puzzles though or hooking supplies.

Maggie, have you been having some more dreams about that handsome cowboy again? Keeping us in suspense. If so I hope that you didn't wake up. Keep that cat out of the bedroom, ha ha ha.

Love your old age poem. I'm glad that you're getting your sense of humor back.
Love you(s). Hugs to Christie and you. JB

WALK WITH ME BY THE WATER

Aged and slow are the steps I take,
to the lake where the water flows free.
Humbled am I, by the quiet beauty,
that God has blessed and given me.

Through the years I will remember
the goodness of my life, not the bad.
It takes only the peace of the water
to appreciate the love that I've had.

There is this miracle of the water,
that makes our lives worth the while.
These memories will live on forever,
and bring with them, surely a smile.

Come walk with me by the water,
hold me and make my life shine.
We are given the gift of the moment.
it was never to be simply mine.
.
Aged and slow are the steps I take,
to the lake where the water flows free.
Humbled am I, by the quiet beauty,
that God has blessed and given me.
