Exhausted!

Wow Do I Miss You! This going back to work is hard on blogging and my body.

Just wanted to let you know that I am okay. The last two days at work have really been rough but hey tomorrow is Friday! Management and co-workers have been kind and understanding so far. But they really intended for me to take my rest breaks laying in a cell. I thought the doctor was kidding when he suggested that I could ly down in a cell when I take my breaks but no he had talked to the Captain that one of my restrictions was that I should have a place to lay down every hour if needed.  So they agreed on a cell. I am still in shock over this. One thing that really irrritates me if a person needs to lay down every hour why would a doctor send them back to work.

I did find myself having to lay down both days but I went to my car and lowered the front seat and rested for ten minutes. Sometimes my back is hurting so bad that I have to get to a place to ly down so instead of a cell I chose my car. I just can't imagine lying in a cell but if worse comes to worse who knows.

Will do my best to catch up with all of you because I miss you terribly. Right now though my bed is calling my name.  Sorry once I get use to being exhausted again I will do better at posting.

Sweet Dreams
Maggie

take things slow and be careful. I've never heard of anything more ridiculous than laying down for 10minutes in a cell! You are such a good sport about all of this...ha. I hope they come to thir senses soon...love you!

One thing I was told to do when I first injured my back was to soak 3x a day in epsom salts in the bath w/water as hot as you can stand it. Believe me it helps.

My back hurts just reading this. Too bad they don't have a 4 star "honeymoon suite" cell set aside for celebrities. That wouldn't be so bad but to expect you to rest on a bunk previously soaked in bodily fluids is too much.
Hang in Maggie.

I'm glad to hear from you. I was worried. I was wondering the same thing about why they would send you back to work if you have to lay down every hour? What a screwed up system.
Hang in there.

Maggie..
I am just gobsmacked by this whole issue.
I dont mean to be a conspiracy theorist here but for Me, this shouts it~! The powers that be have decided to find a way to run you out of there without benefits or any other form of compensation and now it'll just be a battle to the end to see who breaks first THEM or YOU and since you are the one in pain, they probably feel like they are winning by a mile and its just a matter a of time.. I hope that lawyer you spoke of in your other post nails their azz to the wall..
Call the paper and give them an interview.. all your local tv station- heck, call Oprah~! at this point they have clearly shone their true colors and intentions so you dont have anything to loose by blowing the whistle on these folks.. I mean seriously- what can they do to ya, make you come back to work and rest in a cell?? Silent and sweet isnt going to win this war so please start shouting from the rooftops..

Dear Maggie, I think that things goes this far when someone abuses the system and others have to pay for it, in this case it seems that you are paying for the abuse of others. Little by little our rights are eroded because of system abuse. It's really unfair.

I hope that you don't feel like you have to visit me until you are all well enough. Take care of yourself and get that back top priority.

Maggie, you have to take that plate of chocolate fudge from your side bar, I don't know how long I can look at them without reaching in my monitor to grab some, lol... Have a restful weekend. JB

Sweet Lady, your choice of going to your own car for a lay-down is so much better than the alternative. Even when the temps hit the triple digits the front seat seems the better choice.
Thanks for taking the time to keep us abreast of the newest in your crazy life.

I have been telling friends over here all about you an dthe "cell" and not one can believe that the Dr. coudl be serious. Neither can they believe that anyone would be sxpected to work when so bad as you are...It would definitley be a no no here for sure. The unions altho not so effective as they used to be would still be up in arms, as would your fellow workers..
Keep smiling dear Granmayellowhair

Maggie,
And I have missed you...been sick and over-whelmed myself but have been thinking of you sooo much!
I truly can't beleive you are back at work in your condition. I am really sorry for you! Hey, lie down in a cell, as long as they don't close the door on you; that would be frightening!
You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers and take good care of yourself...

Hi Maggie Sweetie...
I just wanted to pop by this morning and wish you a Happy Mother's Day sweetie. I see that you are back to work. The idiots!! How could they send you back when you are still struggling so much? I just do not understand workman's comp at all? What good are they?

Sweetie please take it easy and if you need to rest in a cell, then I would do so. Don't put your back in danger along with your health. There is only one of you, and we want you to take care of you. Don't make Ms Pearl come alive. She might close you in that cell sweet one.

Have a beautiful day today. Relax, take in some beauty and scents from the garden, have a wonderful lunch and I hope you are surrounded by love and laughter.

Many hugs and so much love, Sherry

Take care of yourself Maggie.

I am with you. If you have to lay down every hour how in the heck can someone go back to work. It does not make sense.

I don't that a cell mattress would do my back any good unless they provide Serta. or these new fangled adjustable hardness/softness kind. That's disregarding the other matters you mentioned.

I can feel your pain as former Prez Clinton once said. I went back to exercise which I thought was modest--a session of Yoga Stretch one day and 20 minutes in gym 3 days. WOW! I must have been out of date as I really messed up by osteoporosis back and slipped disk. could hardly walk Friday. However much of Saturday evening I spend in a lift chair with heat and vibration. Was able to make church today.

I'm pretty late in adding my two cents to this craziness that you are experiencing. We all can't be wrong, Maggie, the system is truly against you.

I just wish that you felt better. I know what it is to have back pain. There just isn't a heck of a lot one can do about it. I use heat and cold get packs when it gets bad because I am allergic to all pain meds. I think we just have to learn to live with it.

Happy Mother's Day to you Maggie. I hope you were able to be with some of your family to celebrate. We are having a nice quiet day getting caught up on our rest. My kids always call me and so far three out of five have done just that. The other two will call later I am sure.

Take care and feel better.

Happy Mother's Day Maggie! I'm glad you made it through last week's work schedule, but I hope the situation some how will work out so you're not forced to take crazy rest breaks. It does seem weird that the Doc thinks resting every hour is normal...does he do that? One thing you might want to think about..if you are taking a break laying in a cell, atleast your co-workers will know that it's necessary for you to do that. What I mean is, they may think you're not having that much pain, when really you are but instead of laying in a cell you are just resting in your car. Does that make sense? They may say, "hey, Maggie is fine, she doesn't really need to rest at all during her day"...and that may get back to that stupid Doc. If he has conversations with your boss, he might be checking that out too. Perhaps, if you would be more comfortable in a bed, you might want to bite the bullet and lay in that cell. Crazy as it sounds. Hope this week goes well and mostly, I hope you are feeling better soon. Love ya!
