TINKERBELL AND ME

Photobucket

Hello everyone! Its always good to here from all of you and so happy you enjoyed the post about Annie. Isn't she just a doll!
Today I wanted to share a little about Tinkerbell with you all. As most of you know she is my housemate in my little ole country house. The picture above is how my friend litterally wakes me up every morning at 3:30 am regardless if it is a working day and I have to be up or my day off. Somehow she has her own alarm system and it goes off on time every morning.  And yes my sweet friends she does wake me up just as the clip shows punching me on the face until I open my eyes. Who ever thought that I would live alone at my age and have a Maine Coon cat slapping the heck out of me to get me up every morning. What ever gave her the idea that this is how it is done beats the heck out of me. Where she got the idea also baffles me. I honestly don't have to worry about sitting two alarms because she is my second one that usually goes off before the real one. It is really funny because she will not stop until I get up. Of course her objective for doing this is being fed. Even on my days off I have to stumble to the kitchen and feed her.  You know I just thought of something. If I were smart I would have a tiny bowl covered waiting to give her on my days off. Oh well I guess that would make too much sense.  Knowing me I will just keep stumbling to the kitchen. My co-workers not being understanding cat lovers said "I would toss the darn cat across the room!" Shame on them thinking I could do that to my friend.

Another habit she has is to follow me into the bathroom whenever I go into it. Does not matter day or night she has to be there when I am in that room.
She has a certain game she likes to play with me and once again I do not know where she learned to do this but it is tooooooo funny. While I am sitting on the pot she runs and jumps into the claw foot tub which sits in the middle of the room.( Yes your not seeing things it is painted pink) As soon as she lands inside she crouches down and hides where I can not see her. Even her big tail is out of eyesight. Then she patiently waits for me to tear a strip of toilet tissue and say "Where Are You! Where Are You!" After several sweeps with the toilet tissue and saying this she jumps up and grabs the tissue. I am telling you ladies this can go on for several minutes until I finally just have to end the game. She loves it!  Sometimes I am in a hurry and do not have the time to entertain her but matters not to her.

However the other morning after having a bean burrito the day before it seems I found a way to shorten the game by accident. lol  All of a sudden before I could even swipe the tissue once across the top of the tub she jumps straight up and leaps out of the tub and runs out the door. Honestly ladies I don't believe I have ever seen my fat cat run that fast. hahahaha It kind of scared me at first because I have been told the house is haunted but I finally realized it was the smell that got her out of there. lol

Sorry ladies but I had to share this with you all. Hope your having a great week.
Love to all of you

Maggie

Cute kittypoo.. and what a great bathroom. Tinker is like Maggie.. she follows me everywere no matter where I'm going and that includes the potty chamber, which is sorta weird. Oh well, what's a girl gonna do?

Tinker must have a very 'purrsnickity' (heehee) nose.

with love,
Olivia

Tinkerbell is quite a character and so are you!
My kitties wake me up at the same time every morning by walking across me several times and then they go to the door and do what I call "treadmilling," the door.LOL

The bathroom story is so funny. Most would not have the nerve to tell that one!

Thank you for the giggles. I had a wonderful dog names Poochie for 16 years ( she's long gone now) she would wake me up in the morning by licking the side of my face, ugh! When she was hungry or thirsty she brought me her bowl ( one was dark for food the other was light for water). She would just come to me with her bowl clasped securely between her teeth and drop it at my feet. She knew how to get her bowls filled, giggle. I'm allergic to cats but my husband loves them and I know he wishes we had one. Thank you for sharing with us.Hugs!

Great story! I love your bathroom! My walls are painted pink in my bathroom! Love it!

Yep! We think that we chose these animals to live in our homes but sometimes I think it's just the opposite..., at least once they're inside the house.
Our Corgi is in control around here. It's shameful what we let him get away with. Who else do we let play games with us while we are on the toilet? Good grief!!

Don't you take those sweet grandkids off the sidebar! I have my furbabies on mine. We were talking about ENDLESS streams of photos on posts. Oh well, I stuck my foot in my mouth yesterday. Won't be the last time. I sent Nola over to find you because I told her you are a lot like us and she would enjoy reading you. Hey, is there a reason you don't have your email address on here? Not my business, but I've wanted to email you a few times...

My friend Ruth has told me about her cats - yes several cats- that wake her in the very early hours for food. Too coincidental! I'll ask her to send you one; you can name it Snooze Alarm then you can just throw that clock away forever. Or would you like a few. She has nine still. Poor woman lives to care for her cats - that's all.
The pink tub didn't show up for me, darn it.

My Mom would kill me for saying this, but she has chased a certain Pomeranian dog out of the area more than once when gas-e-us emissions occur. The poor thing high tails it outta there! Usually to hide under the bad.
Your kitty sounds like she's quite the character and I am sure great company, however I think she would be sleeping in a different room from me, I am NOT a happy camper when my sleep is interrupted. It's one reason I don't have children!
LOVE the bathroom!!!

Too much information ! ! ! ! ROFLMBO!!

Being the "mom" to 3 furbabies & 2 of them being Maine Coon Cats I can fully understand!! Bailey wakes me up routinely by treading in my hair ((sometimes he misses & hits flesh))!! That's a wake-up call cause' after all felines are pointy on 5 ends!! WOO HOO!!
Hillarious Post!!
Have a Wonderful Day!

That is just too funny:) Considering how great cat poop smells, she had her nerve turning her nose up at yours.
My cat thinks my feet moving under the covers is signal for the "pounce upon" game.
My dog wakes me up by standing by my head and breathing into my face. He has breath to wake the dead.
Good thing we love these creatures, huh.

No...they wouldn't toss Tinkerbell :) I love hearing about animal friends even though I don't even have any!

Thanks again Maggie for supporting Annie! I have been knocked down & in bed with the flu the last few days but I am going to go back & read more of your comments because people really are sweet about it!

It is staring to slow down around here & it is also good to get our family time back. Our house could use a good cleaning! But I really do appreciate all the love you have shown my family by honoring Annie's cause with your post!

Now go cuddle up with Tinkerbell :) I love her name!

I just love you girl. You are so funny. I can always expect a smile when I come over here for a visit. I love this post. Aren't you just the cutest darn thing?

I think I would start threatening Tinkerbell with another bean burrito, she might not follow you in there anymore. Live and Learn Tinkerbell. I love it Maggie. You are just priceless. I love that darn pink tub. I could do some pretty serious soaking in that tub. Thank you for sharing her with me.

I am so thrilled to hear you are doing fine. I hope Ms Pearl has been behaving herself. Haven't heard from her for awhile. Is she on vacation without you?

Country hugs sweetie and so much love, Sherry

what a funny cat story. Animals are hyserically funy and seem to find ways to bend us their way. My dog has me and husband so well trained. Further if I oversleep,--I'm entitled and retired--she still insists on breakfast her her appointed time. She will wake me up whimpering as if the fat little beast is starving.

Oh Maggie you are right. You would think living on a farm we would have a cat! I have a thing about cats....long story. We've had cats off and on. Remember those dogs from last Fridays post? They are nasty cat killers. :-( Much to my sadness. Heelers are sooooo hard on cats. We are dog loves here, but I did get a cat this fall, a huge yellow tabby male cat that we adopted....all nice and house trained....BUT he could not live in the house with the old dog sleeping in the back room. He made his messes everywhere but in his box! I could not live with that, so out he went to the granary. The door is on a chain so he can go in and out and the dogs can't get him. He loves us to shreds when we feed him, and I’ve thought about bringing him back inside....old farms have mice......but.............
Anyway your Tink is making me think twice! LOL
Enjoy your week-end

Is that your very own bathroom, grandma yellow hair???? :) Why, it's delightful! Just LOOK at that little solo-standing pink bathtub and those checkered floors! :)

This reminds me of my very best cat/best friend that I used to have-- I named him "Sleepy Head"... and he was a big, yellow Persian cat, and I just adored him with all of my heart-- he was very fond of giving all of us "massages" like that, every chance he could get to climb on top of us! :)

Those Maine coons are some strange kitty people. I have Ben, who is the only cat I can allow outside, because he's woods-wise, having been on his own for several years when I got him. My neighbors lose a lot of cats to coyotes here. He loves being out, even by himself. Sometimes, I see him ripping around the back yard, leaping up in the air or racing up trees...cracks me up, every time, cuz he's a BIG boy. Great mouser. One of the most loving cats I've ever had. Tinkerbelle actually punches you? How funny! Thanks for your comment on my blog!
