My Living Room/Candy Giveaway!

Please come in and make yourself comfortable! I now have plenty of places for you to sit and prop your feet up.
As I mentioned in my earlier post I finally got my old living room furniture from my brother's house in town.
I was told when I moved out here that it was too big to go through these small doors on this farm house.
Turns out the movers did not know what they were talking about because the guys that moved it for me had no trouble at all.

In the picture above and below is my large sofa with a matching ottoman. The trouble is everything matches which makes for too many flowers in one room. lol

In the corner by the book case I put the over sized chase that I have longed for all these years. Talk about comfortable. I can remember many times falling asleep in this piece.

On the other side of the big room I put the love seat which I put the pink sofa I had in here already across from it. Before I had my dining room table and chairs. I moved them into the dining room which I will show you another time.

I took this picture while coming down the stairs from the bedroom that is finally finished. Soon you will see all the hard work I did in this room so I can finally sleep where it is warm.
Here is the pink sofa across from the love seat. Yep way too much furniture but maybe when I get the two Christmas trees out of this room and move a couple of pieces somewhere else it will look better.

Why I bought all the same matching pieces years ago is beyond me. I wish now I had went with some solid colors to match the sofa.

Never thought I would ever get my pieces back but now their here and I am happy.

Today I made some of my Ms Ruby's Chocolates and I thought of how long it has been since I had a giveaway of my candy so whoever leaves a comment on this post will be entered to win either the Fudge or the famous Peanut Clusters.

How about we end the giveaway on Sunday the 8th which will give me time to make Lot's more chocolate and time for everyone to have a chance to enter.

Whoever wins can tell me their preference of what kind of candy. Good luck to everyone!

Love to all
Maggie

Isn't it comforting to be surrounded by things you love ...

thanks for a chance at your candy.

That candy sounds yummy, Maggie! That's what many of us did years ago ~ bought the sets as they came. Plus, that's what they had the sales on. That chaise does look really comfortable. We have a small sectional with a chaise and I have fallen asleep there quite a bit!

Just in case I win, I like fudge with pecans in the mixture. That way, you won't have to wait to contact me and can make the candy and then box it up and all you will need is my address. LOL

Love your home and your furniture problem made me think of some furniture I bought once - this house is 100+ years old and our doors are narrow. Well, we had to take the double windows out to get the new furniture in, so I know what you are talking about. When I gave it away years later, we realized the legs screwed off and if you were careful, it could be eased out the door and then the legs put back on. Live and learn. :-)

Your room looks beautiful and cozy! Love the flowers on everything! We bought a couch and chair that had flowers and I loved them..the couch was the most comfortable thing ever. But we had some issues with the fabric and when we tried to get it fixed we ended up having to get a different sofa and chair...and I hate them to this day! I'm hoping one day to get something else, but until then I'm stuck with em! Enjoy yours!

I think that your room looks lovely, very comfy and inviting. I'd love to live nearby, I would go for a visit and have a cup of coffee with you.
Hi Maggie,
I'm glad that you have your own furniture back. Looks like you decorated for Christmas already.

I just started decorating the foyer and the banister this evening after supper and I don't even have a theme. Mostly stuff bought half price and from the thrift store last couple of years.

Hugs,
JB

I LOVE your living room Maggie! I don't think it looks too crowded. I have a ton of pieces in my living room and I think it just makes them more homey. I am so glad you were able to finally get your pieces back. I LOVE the chaise too. Don't mind me while I lay here and catch a few z's.

The stairway I think is a gem; Simple elegance; have we seen it before? Not me. Envy abounds. I often miss mine, though I'm beyond climbing steps, doggoneit. I'll try again, even two ! pieces fudge would suffice; I WANT to TASTE your CANDY ! Whoop, Whoop! can't eat p'nuts. Pecans? :) I love your home, Maggie. So inviting. What a beautiful bookcase and may I stretch out on the sofa, rest a bit? Such a great post; pictures so good.

I love your floral pieces! You have the beginning of a really shabby chic room going here. I see some lovely white or pink throws across the back of the sofa. Some lovely lace pillows in white on the loveseat. And...that chaise is just to die for! I sure looks comfy!

Just enjoy that your pieces have found their way back home.

All candy is good! If it has pecans, it's better than good!

Hugs,
Kathy

As much as I would love to win the chocolates, I think winning that wicker chair would make me over the top thrilled :) LOVE that chair. LOVE wicker. OK, if I can't win the chair, then I will pig out on your delicious chocolates to bury my misery about the chair. xoxo

Yum Yum. I have been wanting to taste your chocolate for a long time.
Your furniture looks erallay comfy. Do you have some pain throws to throw over the couch. Pretty pattern.....goes well with the pastels.
Can't wait to see the bedroom.
Hope you are enjoying the season. I am taking it slow so I can enjoy it more than the years that I have rushed.

Oh my goodness, Maggie. You have so many people that read your blog. I just don't know how you keep up will all of them. I have trouble keeping up with just my 12, and I don't want any more, because I feel like I am really close to the ones I do have. Anyway, I'm glad that you are one of my blogging friends.

I think your furniture looks fine in your room and it does look really comfortable, especiallly your lounge chair. It reminds me so much of one I used to have years ago. I loaned it my brother and sister in law when we moved and didn't have the room for it. I told them I intended to get it back one day, but when I wanted it back, I found out they had sold it and I cried bitter tears over that wonderful lounge, so I can understand how you feel about it. I can just imagine how comfy you will be from now on. Comfort is a great thing when you get to be my age and I'm glad you will finally be able to get a lot of it before you are old like me. I now have a wonderfully comfortable chair that I sit in all of the time when I'm home. It is so perfect for me, but took me a very long time to find it. It is so good for my back and I go to it frequently whenever I am doing any kind of job in my home. It renews me in just a few minutes.

I am feeling a bit better each and every day, so know all is going to be well this December. We have been very busy this past week and I hope I get a chance to blog soon about it.

I hope you will enjoy every day of this December too. Lot's of love to you Maggie...............Darlene

Maggie, your house is beautiful! I love all the pink and flowers. My hubs has been working on a man cave for himself, and I keep telling him I want a girl room. If I ever get it, I want a lounge chair just like yours ~

I want to go visit you so that I can go sit on your lovely furniture and have a cup of tea:-) It all looks wonderful, Maggie, and I can well imagine how thrilled you are to have your furniture back. Have you thought of buying a couple of chair covers in solid colours if you find there's too much flowery pattern? Many people do that:-)

Omigosh, how I'd love to win some of your candy...the peanut clusters would be my choice:-) You are a doll!! xoxo
