A Good Laugh!

MAN DOWN IN ASILE 5!!!

A husband and wife are shopping in their local supermarket. The husband picks up a case of Budweiser and puts it in their cart.
"What do you think you're doing?" asks the wife.
"They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans" he replies.
"Put them back, we can't afford them" demands the wife, they carry on shopping.

A few aisles farther on, the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the basket.
"What do you think you're doing?" asks the husband.
"It's my face cream. It makes me look beautiful," replies the wife.
Her husband retorts: "So does 24 cans of Budweiser and it's half the price."
That's him on Aisle 5.

  11. I DID need a laugh today. Thank you! It was good to have you "visit" me...

I hope you enjoy the book. I have found ALL of Maeve Binchy's books to be delightful.

I'm currently reading On Rue Tatin: Living and Cooking in a French Town by Susan Herrmann Loomis...a Peter Mayle sort of book. I am really enjoying it, too.

I read a few of your posts & think your hair is gorgeous - white though, isn't it? Not Yellow!

  12. Hi Maggie, thanks for the blogazine invite; did you get my email with my article which I sent to you on 5/4/13? I ask because sometimes emails aren't received due to mystery.

  19. Thanks a lot for sharing that hilarious story. No offense to wives, but I really found it funny coz’ it would take a Budweiser to convince himself that his wife is beautiful. But I tell you, what’s important is the inner beauty and not the physical features coz anyway beauty fades as time goes by.

  20. That would be my husband in the aisle for more than one reason.

Thank goodness beer and beauty supplies are not objects of contention in our household, so it is a pretty funny. You might substitute fishing equipment and gizmos for my household; either one of us might be lying face down in any given aisle.
