One of A Kind Christmas Gift!

Just had to share with you some slippers that our sweet Donna at Brynwood Needleworks has offered to make me for Christmas! I have bragged on Donna many times about how creative she is but I did not realize just how creative.
The problem is choosing the right style for me! Which one would you want? I am leaning toward the star but any of these would be great!

Donna being the sweetheart she is also included the instructions to these cuties. So if any of you want me to email you the step by step instructions just let me know and I will forward them to you.

I do know the first thing you need is pictured below!

Wow I am so looking forward to my pair!
What about you?

So missed talking with you this week. Hopefully you are finished with your shopping and can enjoy the rest of the week without too much stress. I do need to pick up one or two things then my shopping is complete.  Like I mentioned in an earlier post. Sometime at the end of the summer I am adding a page on my site for early Christmas shopping. Next year we will all be finished before Thanksgiving.  We are off to a great start with Donna's Slippers.

Hard week for me with my pain level plus Gary is now having both radiation and Chemo everyday in Houston so it is very hard on him and taking a toll on all of us. This has been a hard year for a lot of you too and I am looking forward to a New Year for all of us. One full of Joy and getting to know each of you even better!

Sweet Dreams,
Maggie

  3. Maggie:
You crack me up. I can't take credit for coming up with the idea (it was an internet joke, after all), but I'm glad they tickled you as much as they tickled me. Perhaps we should have a seminar where everyone could try their hand at a pair! lol

Hope you have a fabulous week, my friend. I love you to the moon and back!
    xoxo

  4. Oh My Heavens!!! You are so funny and are going to have to show us all how to do this. hehe!
I feel so bad for Gary, I start radiation soon and I know it will be tough but to couple it with chemo has to be very difficult. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayres. As I will with you for some relief from that pain. Gah! so many people are hurting right now and I feel so helpless. All I can do is carry a good thought for them and a prayer...;j

  8. I guess if you have sweaty feet, they will wick away the moisture.
My prayers that Gary gets through this round with little side effects. May 2011 be painfree and healthy for you both.

  19. It's good to see that although life is handing your family a rough road, your sense of humor is still intact! Ok, at first site before reading this post, I was thinking.."how can I say something positive about those things?" I'm hoping for a Christmas miracle for you and Gary and maybe if those pads came with those "wings" you could fly on over for some eggnog!

  20. I thought something looked funny about those slippers. Then when I saw the last photo I couldn't stop laughing. My hubby wanted to know why. I showed him. He said, "That's just not right." Hah.
    You are a stitch.
So sorry about Gary. That is just too hard having both at the same time. I will continue to pray for him and for you.
"You get that shopping done so you can enjoy.
Have a Merry Christmas my dear.

  21. Maggie, to answer your question, I had a radical mastectomy on Dec 19, 2002, just before Christmas. I was told that I would probably die of it but this grandma ( salt and pepper hair ) is still here and kicking and I haven't looked at the rocking chair yet. I dug in my heels and stayed positive and just surrendered to Jesus and felt at peace. This has help me an awful lot.
About our latest rain. we have weathered the storm and everything is back to normal for us. Thanks for caring. ALL THE BEST FOR YOU AND YOUR BROTHER FOR 2011 and I hope that your brother will be back to his old self soon. Hugs JB
