Too Many Storms!

So much I wanted to talk to you about this morning but time is short since I have to be at the Sheriff's Office  in just a little while.  What is really on my mind this morning is all of you that live where all the horrific storms have been destroying everything in their path.

Last night we got a small taste of what you have been going through and the whole time I kept thinking of how horrible it must of been and is for you. I am keeping everyone in my prayers and please let me know how you are because I know many of you live in these areas. I have cousins in Oklahoma that I am trying to find out about hopefully they are okay. Also wondering about my blogging buddies so  if you can drop me a note telling me your okay.

Of course I want to hear from all of you because I love reading your comments.

Things here are about the same/ Christi is having car issues and the last two days we have had to tow her car somewhere. Hoping it is nothing major wrong but being a little car that goes Zoom Zoom  no telling what is the matter. It is one of those little Crossfire's. The car is now For Sale. lol

Work has been more than a little crazy so I will catch you up soon on what has been going on there. They brought in another man that murdered his Case Manager so now we have 7 murderers in a small facility which has to be a record.

I am still fighting for a new doctor but still no luck there. I am not giving up though.

Gretchen met someone in acting class and so she has been going to Austin more than usual so I miss hanging out with her. She did come over the other night for grilled Hamburgers and entertained Christi and I with what she has been doing.  Here is Gretchen and her new friend getting reading to go to a festival in Austin. She painted his face as a puppy and he did something funny with her eye. Gretchen said they walked around all night with painted faces even when they left the festival. haha In Austin you can do that.

I sent her an email when I got this picture and said, "Cute Puppy.....I want one!"  hahaha

Enjoy your Thursday. I kept thinking all last night that it was going to be Friday today so boy was I disappointed to realize I had two more days left of my work week.

Still trying to catch up with all of you. Don't give up on me!

Love to all
Maggie

Hi Maggie, having car troubles sucks. Mine just got fixed last week and all that was wrong was the corrosion on the battery terminal that prevented connection and my car wouldn't start at all. It would just make a click sound. I felt totally lost without my wheels.

Maggie, how many years before you can retire from that prison work? Hang in there and think positive. For some reason I feel that this week has had an extra day too. Serves me well because I always complain that I never have enough time to do what I want.

You need to find yourself a rich man that can take care of you. Take care. Love, JB

Maggie just take care of yourself! That is the most important. Good luck on finding a doctor.

Prayers for everyone in our country and throughout the world who is going through so much right now.

Hi Maggie,
Bless your heart for taking the time to write your thoughts and express your deep caring for all those affected by the horrific storms. Knowing you are still carrying on with such positive force and determination is uplifting and I admire you so! I just wanted you to know too that I haven't forgotten about the guest blogger request from you a few weeks back. ( I didn't think that it would be so hard to write about myself LOL)
I need to apply some deep thinking power here and haven't been able to get motivated. Soon I hope!
Stay safe at home and at your work place! You are a blessing to all who know you!
Hugs!

Give up on you? NOT a chance!!!
I do note a more positive air to your post; good for you although I know it is sometimes difficult. I liked that 'I won't give up!' HURRAY!!! always cheering for you!
AND I too think of my blog friends each time a new storm is posted...I wonder how so-so is, or has it affected so-so...it's amazing how attached I've become and how 'small' the world is with so many people I've become friends with.
Love and hugs to you...hang in there!

This is so ironic. Earlier this morning when I was posting my link for my thursday meme, your name came to mind and I was thinking to myself, just how you're doing? I do hope that things will get better for you. You always seem so 'up' with everything and it never lets you down. Which is GOOD!!! I admire that in you dear one. Then, while thinking of how you are doing, it also crossed my mind about all the storms in and around TX these days and wondering if you were being in any destructive path.

I enjoyed your company today, and glad you took the time to stop by. Seeing you come visit makes my day.

So happy to hear from you, Maggie.
Yesterday afternoon the sirens went off so Hubby and I spent two hours downstairs while the bad weather took it's course.
Five miles from here the wind overturned a deputy's car with him in it. Luckily he was not badly injured.
No damage here, received an inch of rain during those two hours.
Sedalia is something like fifty miles from here, Joplin probably one-hundred-fifty+= miles as the crow flies.
Just a terrible season over all.
Please take care and know we all love you.
hugs
Gerry

Hi, sweet Maggie. So glad to hear from you. Sorry about the car trouble. We are safe here and all of my family in Oklahoma is too. One nephew lost his apartment and almost all he owned. He was out of town working and we were thankful he was not home when the tornado hit. Hope your cousins are all okay. It has been pretty scary around here at times. Hope they bring no more murders into your work place, you have more than enough. Praying all in your life gets better and above all you and your family get well and stay well. Love and hugs

Glad to hear you are alright. Our storms were really bad here in N. TX. You should have seen me, my little JRT and Shi Tzu and our cat all in the little bathroom under the stairs....for 45 mins!!! The sirens just KEPT going off. Luckily nothing touched down here. Other areas weren't so lucky, tho.

Big TX Hugs,

Hi Maggie, We have been fortunate here that we have only had the rain, hail and wind. They supposedly spotted a tornado yesterday that could of done damage, but it stayed up for which we are very thankful. We are dealing with flooding in our area. Farmers that have river bottom land will be replanting there crops this year. We have enjoyed a day of sunshine today. I keep praying for you and i am glad that Christi is there with you. I think it helps to have someone else around. You take care and Your Missouri Friend and family are o.k.

Hi Maggie,
I just read some posts I had missed, hilarious things you encounter, I hope your pain will be gone if you find a new doctor, so sorry to read you're in such pain...
As for scearing someone to death in their car, I laughed about this, I always walk to the wrong car, so familiar this! Anyway, hope your weekend will be a good one, all the best, Maureen x

That is scary to think that a second person has murdered his caseworker. My son used to work as a counselor in juvenile hall, and I always kinda worried that one of them might get mad and carry a grudge someday. Boy, was I glad when he left that job!

not sure where your friends live in oklahoma but hope that the storms of earlier this week spared them. It is always an eye opener when they come so close to you and you see the power that they can hold in them. It has been a strange year for weather indeed. Keeping all those touched in my thoughts. blessings

Hi Maggie, thanks for stopping by this morning. It does seem unfair that we can be joyful when others are going through such pain, but if you really think about, there are so many around the world who are suffering each and every day but we don't always think about them. When it hits close to home, that is when our eyes are opened to the suffering. Our gift to the world is to help in any way we can and to walk tall (or bent over) with an attitude of gratitude. We all get down and out. That's normal! As long as we don't let it last very long and keep moving forward with a smile and remember to count all our blessings. God bless you and yours. Have a wonderful day. Tammy

Glad to hear you're OK Maggie. We had a ferocious storm here last night and a tree next to the house split - a limb is hanging on our patio roof so we're holding our breath until the treeman comes next Tuesday to take it down. But we were so lucky. Two gals at work had trees fall right on their homes last night. And compared to all the people that the tornadoes have devastated - I feel blessed. Hugs to you!

Glad to hear you are doing well! I haven't been able to get online, but not because of the weather! ;)

I hope you are feeling a little better, despite being forced back to work early. I wonder when Karma is going to turn around on those who have been less than sympathetic for you?

HOpe Christi gets her car taken car of, those things can be SO expensive.....
Well, brace your self for a crazy summer, weather-wise! Im glad you update us when you can! :) Love ya' lady!

Give up on you? NEVER:-) You just keep posting when you can and we'll be happy with that! My heart and prayers go out to all those affected by the tornadoes as well. I can't even imagine going though what they have been, such total devastation.

My goodness, 7 murderers in your jail? I don't think I could ever do your job, I'd be terrified! lol

I do hope you can find a new doctor soon, my friend, I just hate the thought of you suffering so much AND having to work.

Happy Memorial Day to you and yours, my friend. We don't celebrate it here in Canada, instead we have Remembrance Day every November 11th...for the same reason:-) xoxo
